This device works via OBDII connector of the car. Description Programmer is designed in the hand-held box which has: - LCD display with backlight - Keyboard - RFID Antenna - IEEE1394 - OBD Cable connector - USB Cable connector - RJ45 connector (for factory tests) - Connector for power supply (12-15v, 1A, positive pin in center) Programmer is protected by PIN-code. IMPORTANT After 5 wrong attempts of the entering the PIN code the device will be locked for 30 min. 1
MENU structure 1. Alarm OBD2 OFF - Turn Off Alarm system and unlock the car 2. Key ADD1 to Car - Add only one key to the Car 3. Alarm OBD2 ON - Turn ON Alarm system to the normal work with remote key 4. Key ADDx to Car - Add 1-8 keys to the Car 5. Key Blank Check - Check keys for the blank state (used keys cannot be programmed) 6. Settings - Entering to the additional menu with device options Arrows buttons Arrows buttons are using to go through menu. Menu positions can be selected by pressing the digit buttons!!! To enter into the selected menu - press button Enter Return to the previous menu position - button IMPORTANT NOTICE Device is protected with a Special Security Mechanism against opening and hacking the device. - DON T TRY TO OPEN THE DEVICE - DON T TRY TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY - DON T TRY TO REMOVE SD FLASH - DON T TRY TO REMOVE INTERNAL PROTECTION COATING OTHERWISE DEVICE SOFTWARE WILL BE DAMAGED PERMANENTLY!!! Message [ SEC OK ] on the display shows good state of the protection. 2
IMPORTANT NOTICE: While key programming procedure it s needed to disconnect two connectors from Convenience module of the car for 2-3 seconds. In this manual you will find module location pictures depending on car model. Before starting Key programming procedure you need to have easy access to this connectors. Restrictions : Convenience module with part number 8k0 907 289 cannot be programmed. Settings: 1. Change PIN code - Old PIN-Code is displayed in the pin code window. Input a new PIN-Code and press Enter. 2. Checking PIN code at Start - PIN code On/Off 3. Fast Start On/Off - Turning OFF Logo pictures and PIN-code for speeding up the device start. 4. Sound On/Off - Speaker On/Off 5. Device Info SW version, Serial number, Internal Battery voltage of the device are shown in this menu. Battery Voltage is measured every time when device is connected to the power supply. When battery voltage is low, next When battery voltage is critically low, device will stop warning message will be displayed : to work and locking message will be displayed: Warning! Warning! Battery LOW!!! Battery CRITICALLY LOW!!! Immediately replace battery!!! Immediately replace battery!!! Device can be damaged Device is locked till Call to dealer! battery replacement! Call to dealer! You should send device to dealer to replace the internal battery. Replacing of the battery is needed after 6-10 years check the battery voltage for it. Operation temperature -15.. +40 С 5. STEPS for Key Programming (Car is locked and alarm is armed, all keys are lost) : 1. Check all keys that are prepared for programming into the car in the menu Key Blanc Check. *) Only keys that was not used before can be programmed into the car. - Connect device OBD cable to the OBD connector of any car only for getting power supply for device. - Select menu Key Blanc Check. - Put tested Key into the RFID Antenna ring on the front side of the device. - Press Enter and check message on the display BAD Key (Used) message will be : <<< KEY is USED>>>!! Can t Use This Key!! ID: 22334455 Press OK- rep, F1-Exit GOOD Key (Blank) message will be: <<KEY is BRAND NEW>> <<< Can Add To Car >>> ID: 22334455 WFSID:00000000 Press OK- rep, F1-Exit 2. Open driver s door with a special tools (for example take out door lock and turn door lock mechanism) Alarm will not triggered within 15 sec. Connect device to the OBD diagnostic connector and select Alarm OBD2 OFF menu, press Enter to disarm alarm. After few seconds alarm will be disarmed. Turn one more time door lock mechanism to unlock all doors and trunk. 3. Find Convenience module in the car and make easy access to the connectors of the module. TURN ON MULTI MEDIA INTERFACE (Radio) TO PREVENT CAR SLEEPING!!! 4. Select menu Key ADD1 to Car if you need to add only one key Key ADDx to Car if you need to add up to 8 keys When you will select Key ADDx to Car then need to enter number of keys you wish to program. Do it with buttons UP, DOWN (or numeric buttons) and press Enter 4
5. Press Enter to start Key programming procedure. Device will establish connection with Immobilizer V module and after few seconds write a message: Now unplug Connectors from the Immo. module, wait 2-3 sec, then connect them back and press OK Carefully unplug 17-pin Black connector and 17-pin Brown connector, wait 2-3 seconds, plug connectors back and press button Enter on the device. NOTE: After first successful Key programming procedure, device keeps in its internal memory a special data that are needed for future Key programming on this car, so not necessary more to unplug connectors from the Immobilizer module. 6. Wait for a message on the display Place Key NR:1 into RFID antenna ring Insert a new key vertically into RFID antenna key will be preprogrammed with car data. Repeat this step for each new key you wish to program. 7. Wait for a message Put Key -> Car OK: 0/1 KEY ADAPTATION Insert key into the Ignition Lock or touch with a key an Immobilizer Reader Coil in the dash panel left side of the Multi Media Display (Audi A8 from July 2010) or dash panel - left side of the radio (Audi A7,A6) - see photos at the end of this manual. Wait for a message on the device display. KEY PROGR. OK! START the CAR! Now you can turn Ignition ON and START Engine!!! When you will select Key ADDx to Car and have 2 or more keys for adaptation (even you have old keys from this car that still should be present in the Immobilizer system), select quantity of ALL keys, insert ALL keys into the Ignition Lock one by one. Quantity of the adapted keys will increase see line Put Key -> Car OK: 0/2 Put Key -> Car OK: 1/2 - one key from two is adapted Put Key -> Car OK: 2/2 - two keys from two are adapted NOTE: After successful Key programming procedure, device stays with a message START the CAR! Returning back to the menu is possible only after disconnecting a power supply from the device. 8. Select Alarm OBD2 ON menu and press Enter to arm alarm. After that Alarm can be armed by a new key. Otherwise only Central Lock will works, but alarm will not armed after pressing a button Lock on the key. 5

SOFTWARE UPDATING Restriction related to installation of USB driver: USB driver will work only on Windows 7 (x86, x64) or newer. 1. To install USB Driver run executable file Install Driver.exe from the Device Driver folder placed on CD. 2. Connect USB cable to the USB port on the host machine, and the other side of the cable to the USB port on the KEYPROG device, Connect power supply adapter (+12..15v, positive pin in center) to the device. USB Cable 3. Enter menu Load update from PC The following message will be displayed: PC communication Connect USB to load Software Press any key for Break USB Connected OK! 4. Run OBD2_Special_Tool.exe software for updating the device firmware. 15
5. Press button Detect Hardware When KEYPROG is correctly started and USB driver is correctly installed, the following message will be displayed in the program message line: Check OK! Hardware found on COMxx! HW version: x.xx! *) In case an error message: Hardware not found on COM ports, check the cable connection, moreover, check if the USB driver is installed correctly. USB CDC serial port emulation (COMxx) - this name of the serial port for KEYPROG device should be shown in the list of ports. 16
6. Press button Request Update code Update code for connected device will be shown in the message line and Save Update Code button will be activated. Save request file in the desired directory and send this file to the dealer. 7. Receive from dealer Update file, press button Download update, select file for loading it into the device. After checking the file for matching to the serial number of the device that will be updated, downloading of the update file will be started. 17
8. After successful loading - button Run update will be activated Press button Run update Device will start update procedure and the following warning message will be displayed: Flash programming is started Do not POWER OFF during an update Otherwise your device may be damaged! Warning message on the Host software will be displayed: Update takes approx. 10 sec. After this time device will be rebooted and Normal menu will be displayed. After device rebooting - press OK to close program. 18
Time Synchronization button Synchronization of the Real Time Clock can be done by pressing button Time synchronization. Time will be taken from the Host Machine. 19
