DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OS AND APPLICATION PROGRAMS Basic software (System Software) set of essential programs for the proper functioning of the PC and its peripherals. Application Software these are sets of programs added to the Operating System that carry activities of various kinds for the user.. 5
SOFTWARE DISTRIBUTION Software distribution - is a collection of software, also referred to as a distribution, which is set of software components built, assembled and configured so that it can be used essentially "as is" for its intended purpose.
