SpellCheck from WilloWare Incorporated for Dynamics GP 8 SpellCheck Setup Navigation: Tools >> Setup >> System >> SpellCheck Setup SpellCheck must be attached to a Text or String field where you want to perform spell checking. The settings are system-wide, so once a SpellCheck location is defined, it is active for all companies. Define a SpellCheck location by selecting the Product, Series, Form Name, Window Name, and Field Name. Setup for several common locations is provided below: Dynamics GP Notes windows. There are 5 of these, and they will be listed in sequence as Note. The technical name is Form_Note_1, Form_Note_2, etc. Attach SpellCheck to each of the five Note Entry windows. The same note entry windows are used for all Record-Level and Window-Level notes. Product: Microsoft Dynamics GP Series: System Form Name: Note Window Name: Note Field Name: Text Field Sales Comment Entry. The same window is used for both the Document-level comment and the line Comment. Product: Microsoft Dynamics GP Series: Sales

SpellCheck will attempt to open the window, and confirm that it can access the specified field. If the SpellCheck location is OK, it will flash RED, as shown above.
SpellCheck from WilloWare Incorporated for Dynamics GP 10 Company Dictionary SpellCheck uses a web-service to perform automatic spelling correction. If you have terminology that is specific to your business or industry, and those terms are being incorrectly identified by SpellCheck, you can maintain a list of words that should be ignored by the SpellCheck routine. Although the window allows upper and lower case, SpellCheck always checks this list comparing the suspect word against the dictionary in upper case. The dictionary is stored in the Company Database in a table called W5258Words. If you need to load a large number of words, you can import them directly into this table.
SpellCheck from WilloWare Incorporated for Dynamics GP 11 Using SpellCheck SpellCheck uses a web-service to auto-correct spelling mistakes. If there are no spelling errors control is returned immediately to Dynamics GP. If it detects spelling errors, you will be asked if you want to correct them. It asks for confirmation so that you have an opportunity to bypass SpellCheck if you need to save something with words spelled as-is (i.e. SpellCheck has previously incorrectly identified, and changed the spelling of, words you want to leave as-is). SpellCheck will automatically correct all spelling mistakes, and update the text in Dynamics GP. SpellCheck is triggered by a change event on the field where you have attached SpellCheck. A change event is created when you (1) enter something into a field, and (2) leave the field. On a Note Entry window, leaving the field will happen when you click the OK or SAVE button. SpellCheck will run at that point, and prevent the Note from saving until spelling has been checked.
