Business Online (Browser Client) 1. Overview 1.1. What is Business Online (Browser Client)? Business Online (Browser Client) is a complimentary channel to the existing Business Online Java platform which can be accessed via supported web browsers on desktops and laptops. 1.4. Which devices can I use to access Business Online (Browser Client) Business Online (Browser Client) can be accessed via the following devices: Laptops and desktops. Although the solution may render on tablets, it has not been optimised for use on ipads or Tablets and may not provide the optimal user experience. We do not encourage the use of the solution on these devices. 1.2. What are the benefits of Business Online (Browser Client)? You can access Business Online (Browser Client) on any desktop or laptop via a supported browser. In addition, if you are not desk or office bound, you can access the solution anywhere via Wi-Fi or 3G. 1.3. How do I access Business Online (Browser Client)? Please access Business Online (Browser Client) on https:// www.busonline.standardbank.com/bol/faces/index.xhtml. Business Online (Browser Client) 2. Supported Browsers and Versions Business Online (Browser Client) has been tested on a defined set of supported browsers. Users may be prompted to update their existing browser when a new version becomes available; this is typically required for one or more of the following reasons: Enhanced security Improved performance Additional features. We recommend that you use the browser. versions detailed in the table below when. using Business Online (Browser Client). Browsers Supported Versions Internet Explorer I.E 10 Chrome 41 Safari 7 Please Note:. Business Online (Browser Client) will not work on Internet Explorer 9 or older versions. / 5

Business Online (Browser Client) 3. High level differences between Business Online (Browser Client) and Business Online (Java Client) 3.1. Navigation Features The main differences in Business Online (Browser Client) relate to: Log off/switch user account. To log off or switch user account the user must click on the short cut menu icon found at the top right hand corner. of the screen. Pagination This is a new drop down feature under Payments, Own Transfers and Collections. The user can now chose to display a specific number of batches per search (15/ 50/ 100/ 200/ 500). 3.2 Who do I contact for support? If you have any questions or queries regarding Business Online (Browser Client) please contact your local helpdesk. Default Searches Default data will be displayed on Balances and Statements as it does on Business Online. A search will have to be performed to extract results in all other instances. New sorting icons on column headings sort in ascending and descending order both alphabetically and numerically. Auto Log Out if a session times out due to inactivity, a user will be automatically logged out and will need to log in again. The period of inactivity which results in a session timing out is 10 minutes. Items list When selecting a payment or beneficiary, the list displayed on the screen will be limited. In order to view more items, the user will need to click on the next page icon. Selecting multiple batches Authorisations can be made by selecting one batch at a time on Business Online (Browser Client). The ability to select multiple batches will be available at a later stage. 6 /

Business Online (Browser Client) 5. FAQ s 1. Do I need a token to access Business Online (Browser Client)?. Yes. 2. Can I access Business Online (Browser Client) on my smartphone?. No, you can t access Business Online (Browser Client) on a smart phone because Business Online (Browser Client) was not designed for small. screen sizes....answering these questions could narrow down the possible reason for Business Online (Browser Client). not working. 5. Can I log onto Business Online (Java Client) and Business Online (Browser Client) simultaneously with the same login credentials?. No, you can only use your login on one or the other. 6. Do I need Java for Business Online (Browser Client)? No. 7. How do I know if I am in Business Online (Java Client) or Business Online (Browser Client)? Business Online (Browser Client) has a unique URL which you access through your supported browser. 3. Is Business Online (Browser Client) compatible with all operating systems?. Yes, Business Online (Browser Client) is operating system independent, as long as you have a recommended browser, you can access Business Online (Browser Client). 8. Why is some functionality that I have on Business Online (Java Client) not available on Business Online (Browser Client)?. Most of the functionality that you are used to on Business Online (Java Client) will become available to you on Business Online (Browser Client) during the roll out of the various releases. 4. My Business Online (Browser Client) is not working properly? It could be one of the following things:. i. You could be using an unsupported browser.. ii. The version of the browser you are using is old..... and unsupported.. iii... Have you tested this functionality on Business... Online and does it work there?. 9. If I make a payment/own transfer on Business Online, can someone see it on Business Online (Browser Client) to authorize or audit it?. Yes. Once the transaction is completed on either Business Online or Business Online (Browser Client) it will reflect in real time on the other. However, you may need to refresh the page to see it. 8 /

10. What is the maximum period of transactional history can I view?. The online statement functionality enables you to obtain up to 180 days of transactional history. 11. I have problems viewing my.pdf documents, what do I do?. We recommend that you download and install the latest version of Adobe PDF Reader on to your device. 12. Where is the log off button?. The user must click on the new shortcut menu, located. at the top right hand corner of the screen to log off/ switch user. 13. How do I reset my password?. The user must clear Browser cache and ensure they untick they save password box if it is selected. Relaunch Business Online (Browser Client) and reset password, the user will be able to access the system. 14. Expired Password:. The user must capture new password (the user will need to be activated). The activation will require an Authorisation, after which the user will be able to login.
