SREC Registration Program (SRP) FAQs Updated 03.03.16 SRP Program Changes Q. What changes are being made to the 2016 NJ SREC Solar Registration Program? A. There are two (2) important changes the Program. 1. Beginning March 1, 2016, ALL Registration applications MUST be submitted through the Solar Application Online Portal. The Portal can be accessed at https://njcepsolar.programprocessing.com. 2. Beginning March 1, 2016, ALL correspondence regarding the Program and Applications will be sent via email. The Program will discontinue correspondence through US Mail as of March 1, 2016. All other Program requirements will remain the same. New Application Submission Process Q. How do I submit an Application through the Online Portal? A. You can access the portal at https://njcepsolar.programprocessing.com. There are instructions that will walk you through the process. You can also download this Reference Guide which will provide stepby step instructions on submitting an online application. Q. Are the existing required Registration Packet documents still the same or will any be eliminated with the Online Portal application? A. You must continue to submit ALL required Registration Packet documents. Though you will be asked to enter some of the data found on these forms into fields on the online application form, you will be required to complete and upload the forms with your application. We will be looking at ways to reduce the number of document uploads as we continue to develop the online process. Q. Where do I find the Registration Packet of forms? A. All of the required forms can be found on the NJCEP website SRP Forms page. The Behind the Meter and Grid Supply Checklists found on this page will give you a complete list of instructions on submission requirements. A link to the forms can also be found on the APPLY NOW page of the Online Portal. Q. Who do I contact with questions on how to submit an application? A. The Online Portal provides you a with a Contact Us email option. You can also submit questions to njreinfo@njcleanenergy.com.

Q. What happens if I mail an application after March 1 st? A. The application will be returned to you. You must submit the application through the Online Portal. The date the complete application is received through the Portal is the date that will determine compliance. Existing Applications Q. I mailed my project Registration Packet prior to March 1 st and am waiting for it to be reviewed. How will my application be processed? A. You have two options if you ve mailed your application before March 1 st and are waiting for it to be reviewed: 1. You can choose to do nothing and your application will be reviewed in the order it was received. NOTE: You will now receive ALL regarding the compliance of your application via email even if it was submitted by mail. Correspondence through US mail will be discontinued as of March 1 st. 2. You can re submit your application through the Online Portal at: https://njcepsolar.programprocessing.com. To resubmit, you must first complete a Request for Withdrawal Form and email it to njreinfo@cleanenergy.com. Once we confirm receipt of the form, you may start submitting those applications through the Online Portal beginning March 1st. Q. Are there benefits to re submitting my pending application(s) through the online portal? A. YES! Re submitting your application(s) through the online portal will expedite the review of your project. The portal also provides an application management feature so you can store, view and track the status of each submitted application. Q. If I decide to withdraw my paper application, is there anything I need to do to let the Program know I d like to re submit it online? A. Yes. Please complete and email the Request for Withdrawal Form to njreinfo@cleanenergy.com. The form will ask you for the Site Host Name and the Date the mailed SRP Registration(s) was submitted. Also, when you re submit online you ll be asked to identify if you re replacing a paper application on the online application form. Upon receipt of your list, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know we ve received the list and will start pulling the paper application from the paper application queue. Once you receive this email, you may start re submitting the applications through the Online Portal beginning March 1 st.

Q. I don t want to lose my spot in line if my application is close to being reviewed. What recommendations do you have on which applications I should re submit through the Online Portal? A. This link to the NJCEP website shows you the time frame for the applications currently awaiting review (Information can be found under the graph in the center of the page). There is currently a 14 15 week timeline for issuing SRP Acceptance letters for those in the queue. Q. Will applications submitted through the Online Portal receive priority over the processing of paper applications currently in the queue? A. Staff in NJ will continue to work through the paper application queue. A separate staff will manage the processing of online applications. Online applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted beginning March 1 st. We believe the online review process will expedite SRP Acceptance notifications. Q. How do I re submit my application online? A. Re submitting an application follows the same process as submitting a new application. You can access the portal at https://njcepsolar.programprocessing.com. There are instructions that will walk you through the process. You can also download this Reference Guide which will provide step by step instructions on submitting an online application. You ll be asked on the Application form if you re replacing a paper application. Q. Are Applications submitted through the Portal prioritized over the paper applications awaiting approval. Q. How will re submitting my application affect my 10 Day Compliance Date? A. The application you submitted by mail was hand stamped on the day it was received by the SRP Processing Team. If you re submit your application, the hand stamped date and the executed contract date will be used to determine compliance. Q. I have completed my project and am ready to submit my As Built documentation. How do I submit documentation to the Program? A. If you submitted your SRP Registration in paper and received your project s approval in the form of a hard copy letter, complete the process by sending your As Built documentation in paper to:

New Jersey s Clean Energy Program, SRP Processing Team, c/o Applied Energy Group 317 George Street, Suite 305, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. Correspondence/Program Notifications Q. Will I still be receiving letters from the Program regarding my application(s)? A. No. As of March 1, 2016, ALL communications regarding an application/project will be via email. The program will no longer be issuing any US mail correspondence regarding any new or existing applications and projects. Q. What email correspondence can I expect to receive from the Program regarding my application(s). A. ALL correspondence will be sent via email through the online system. IMPORTANT: Emails will be sent from donotreply@programprocessing.com. Make sure to check your email settings to whitelist the address. ALL successfully completed projects will receive the following three email communications: 1. Application Acceptance Email with Registration number (Number will begin with NJSREE) 2. Onsite Inspection Waiver Email (If project has not been selected) OR Onsite Inspection Required Email (If selected for onsite verification) 3. Registration Complete Email with NJ Certification number (NOTE: Only SREC Owner will receive this notification. Site Host and Contractor will receive an email confirming the Registration Complete status) If there is an issue with an application at any stage of the application process, applicants will receive system generated emails notifying them of the issue(s) and providing instructions on how to correct the application. Examples of such emails include: Application reminders for completing tasks such as document uploads Application Incomplete notification(s) if application is missing information. Navigating the Online Application Process The Application Reference Guide to the Online Portal provides a step by step reference to entering an application through the Portal. A Recorded Training Webinar also provides instructions. If you have questions while applying, use the Contact Us feature provided within each application or send questions

to njreinfo@cleanenergy.com. Enhancements to the Online Portal will be ongoing. Below are answers to frequently asked questions by new users. Uploading Additional Documents to your Application Adjustments are being made to the online portal to provide additional upload tasks. Until that feature is available, include the additional document(s) as a part of one of the standard uploads (e.g. If there are two contracts associated with your project, please upload both contracts under the same upload.) In addition, please send the Program a message using the Contact Us feature referencing the additional document. Correcting a Document Upload or Deleting an Already Submitted Document Currently you are not able to delete or correct a document once you ve submitted it. If you wish to replace a document, delete a document or upload a forgotten document, send the Program a message through the Contact Us feature within the application explaining what you d like to do. The Program will respond with directions on how to remedy the situation. Editing an Equipment Record If in the process of applying, you need to edit the equipment record, continue to complete and submit the application. Your application will move into the Pending Upload Status. In this Status you can scroll down to the Equipment section and edit the Equipment file. These changes will be registered and will be included as part of your application for review. Entering System Size The online application field for System size should match the input from the Technical Worksheet. The online input field must be listed in kws (NOT MWs) as indicated by the field. We are verifying and correcting records entered earlier this week using the Watt value from the technical worksheet and converting to kws. Going forward we ask you to enter kws. Entering a Percentage (%) Field When asked to input a percentage within the online application, enter the percentage as a decimal (e.g. 96.5% should be entered as.965) You will receive a prompt to correct if entered incorrectly.
