Because overhead costs associated with target infrastructure management are offloaded to the service provider, cloud-based Disaster Recovery as a Service and Backup as a Service (DRaaS and BaaS) solutions offer affordability and peace of mind alike. This document is intended for customers and prospective customers of SingleHop Backup as a Service, powered by Veeam Cloud Connect. The steps outlined in this guide assume the reader has basic experience with the Veeam Availability Suite and has access to infrastructure and data on the source side, which is required for running the replication jobs. Signing Up Sign up for a free, 30-day trial of SingleHop s BaaS solution at https://www.singlehop.com/managedhosting/solutions/veeam/. 1. Fill out the form, making sure to check the box for BaaS and click Get Started. 2. Open the activation email. It may take a few minutes to arrive. Please make sure to record the login credentials in this email, as they will be used for your BaaS solution. SingleHop keeps all passwords encrypted; we ll have to reset it for you should the credentials be misplaced. 3. Configuration in Veeam Cloud Connect Once the welcome email is received and all initial requirements are met required ports open, Veeam Availability Suite v8 for BaaS is in use you may proceed with the cloud repository configuration. Configuring Your Backup Job 1. Now that your cloud repository is configured, it s time to create the actual backup job. To begin, navigate to Backup & Replication. 2. Select the recently added cloud repository as the backup job target repository. SingleHop Backup as a Service Getting Started - 7

On the Storage screen, leave Backup proxy set to Automatic selection, unless your Source Veeam setup use case requires the custom configuration. On the Guest Processing screen, configure image-aware processing settings for your backup job.
