Part A is 20 minutes. Part B is one hour and 40 minutes. You need access to four data files during this assessment. Your supervisor will tell you where they are stored. One of the data files is called an evidence document. When asked, paste screen prints of your work into this document. Read each instruction carefully. You must store and organise your work so that it can be found again easily. Printing may be carried out after the time allocated for this assessment. Your name must appear on every printout. It may be handwritten or in a footer. If your printout does not have your name on it, it will not be marked. 3748-025 - 2 - Scenario: Your manager is setting up a new funfair. She needs to meet with some new suppliers. She wants you to help her organise the meeting, and then choose suppliers to invite. Part A Time allowed: 20 minutes There are two tasks in Part A of this assessment and a total of ten marks available. For Part A you need access to the data file Evidence document. You need to use the internet during Part A. 1. The meeting with suppliers is being held at the Mercure Hythe Imperial hotel. The suppliers will need to be sent a map so they can find the hotel. Using the internet, find a map showing the location of the Mercure Hythe Imperial Hotel. Paste screen prints showing the search/searches you used and the results into your evidence document. Save the image of the map so that you can find it again easily. Print out the map. Find out the opening hours of the hotel s restaurant. Bookmark the page that shows the restaurant s opening times. Paste a screen print showing that you have bookmarked the page into your evidence document. a) Screen print/s of the search/es and results pasted into your evidence document. b) A printout of the map you found. c) Screen print of your bookmark pasted into your evidence document. 6 marks

3748-025 - 3-2. Prepare an email to your manager ( organiser@cityattractions.city) saying that you have found a map of the hotel s location. Attach the map you found to the email. In the email, tell your manager the opening times for the hotel s restaurant. Paste screen prints of your completed email into your evidence document. You just have to prepare the email. Do not send it. Screen print/s of your completed email pasted into your evidence document. 4 marks END OF PART A

3748-025 - 4 - Part B Time allowed: 1 hour 40 minutes There are six tasks in Part B of this assessment and a total of 40 marks available. For Part B you need access to the following data files: o Evidence Document o Suppliers o Letter o Logo. You must not use the internet during Part B. 3. Your manager needs to decide which suppliers to invite to the meeting. You have been given a file containing the supplier information you need. The spreadsheet needs to automatically show send invite or no invite for each supplier. Send invite should be shown when the installation costs are less than 1.25 million and a profit of at least 0.01 million is made. Profit is Income less Running Costs Make sure the spreadsheet is clear and easy to read. Produce a chart showing the invited suppliers and their profit, in ascending order of profit. You must print out the finished spreadsheet and the chart. You must also print out a spreadsheet that shows the formulas you have used. a) A printout of the completed spreadsheet. b) A printout of the chart. c) A formula printout. 20 marks

3748-025 - 5-4. Now you have decided which suppliers to invite to the meeting your manager asks you to prepare their invitation letters. You have been given files containing text and the company logo to go in the letter. Use appropriate formatting to ensure the letter is clear, accurate and suitable. Print a copy of the unmerged letter showing all the merge fields. Print the merged letters for each of the invited suppliers only. a) Printout of the unmerged letter showing all merge fields. b) Printout of the letters to the invited suppliers only. 5. 13 marks Organise the files you have used and the files you have created into folders so they can be found easily. Paste a screen print showing the files and folders you have created into your evidence document.
