Integrated Management - Network Management 6.0 Table 2: Known problems in Integrated Management - Network Management 6.0 2 of 3 Problems Certain inconsistencies have been observed in the single sign on Single Sign On (SSO) functionality for some NM applications. 1. Sometimes a session does not timeout after the default session expiry time. Workaround: You have to log out from the Network Management application. 2. You may get a timeout error when you are in the middle of a transaction within the application. But, you may not lose data and no processes are stopped because of the session expiration. Workaround: Log in again to the Network Management application. On a system with fresh installation of NM 6.0 it is seen that sometimes the icons and menu items of IP Discovery window remain disabled after running discovery. It has been seen that though the discovery runs, the status does not get updated on the UI giving a feeling that the discovery is stuck. Workaround: 1. Close all the browser windows 2. Stop Avaya services 3. Clear Java cache 4. Start Avaya services This issue should not be seen after this work around is applied. Known problems Table 2: Known problems in Integrated Management - Network Management 6.0 3 of 3 Problems Upgrade from NM 5.2 service pack 5 to NM 6.0 is not supported. This problem is arises only if you are trying to install Network Management using a CD based on the NM 6.0 iso image. The installer may not recognize the CD drive and the installation may stop in the following specific scenario on the Windows server: You have two or more drives, a combination of one physical CD drive and one or more virtual drives, mounted on the server. For example, you have E: as the CD drive, and F: as the virtual drive, mounted using a CD Emulation tool. If you try to install from the CD using the E: drive, the installer does not recognize the CD drive and you cannot proceed with the installation. Workaround: Ensure that there are no virtual drives mounted. Unmount and disable any virtual drives if active, and then start the installation from the CD again. 9 Integrated Management - Network Management 6.0 Release Notes June 2010
