4. Electrical Input power is provided by the VMC and the power requirements of this module is consistent with the power provided by both MDB and Executive protocol machines. Power is provide for both protocols via CONN1. In the event that an external power supply is required (e.g. for servicing) an 18 24 v / 1.2 Amps, AC or DC. PSU can be used. Page 9 of 12
5. Case 5.1 Removal Retaining Screw (m3x8) Figure 5.1 5.1.1 Remove case retaining screw (see Figure 5.1) 5.1.2 Lift front of case upwards and slide off backwards. N.B The internal executive data cable that links CONN2 & CONN5(ref. Figs. 2.2/2.3) must be disconnected from CONN2 before the case can be fully removed. Page 10 of 12
5.2 Assembly 1. Locate in slot Case Slot 2. Rotate Case into position Figure 5.2 Figure 5.3 5.2.1 Locate the tip front edge of the case into the case slot of the front plate (see Figure 5.2 above). The case must be inserted at an angle (see Figure 5.3) such that the rear of the case is raised above the top of the front plate, such that the XPort network and the MDB sockets (see Figure 2.3) are below the relevant cutouts in the rear of the case, with approx. 20% of sockets visible. 5.2.2 Rotate the case into position (see Figure 5.3), it may be necessary at the same time to lift up the network & MDB sockets so that they snap into the case cutouts. 5.2.3 Screw in the case retaining screw see Figure 5.1 Page 11 of 12
