Hardware Installation 1. Screw the Inepro IP Card Reader box open and take out the Interface connector board. 10 IP Card Reader Upgrade
Hardware Installation 2) Connect the USB cable to the PC you installed the software on and the programmer unit. 3) Connect the black connector of the flat cable to the programmer unit in such a way that the red side of the cable is on the left side (this is the same side as pin 1 on the diagram on the programmer). The cable will be running away from the programmer unit. Make sure you fit the cable correctly as it can fit in more then one way! Failing to do so may result in a defective programmer unit or a defective Interface board! Repairing the resulting problems will not be covered by the guarantee! Connect the other end with the red side of the cable to the closest short edge of the connector board, the connector should only fit in one way, with the plastic rims gliding along the socket. 4) To supply power use one of the following options: a) Connect the power adaptor to the black socket next to the network connectors. b) Connect a Power over Ethernet (PoE) network cable to the PoE connector on the board. The Power over Ethernet option requires the implementation of Power over Ethernet in your network, otherwise no power can be supplied. The power adapter was supplied together with the Inepro IP Card Reader. 12 IP Card Reader Upgrade
Programming Instructions V Part
Programming Instructions To program the Inepro IP Card Reader, you need a hexfile. This file should be supplied by Inepro and is customized to meet your requirements. 1. Start the meprog.exe executable. 2. Choose 'File' > 'Open'. 3. Open the hexfile that Inepro supplied. The selected hex filename will be shown in the title bar of the application window. Double check if this name is correct. 14 IP Card Reader Upgrade

Programming Instructions 8. Choose 'Program' > 'Determine Target Device' to connect the device to the application. Make sure that you remove the card reader from the 9. interface board, to prevent errors! 10. Choose 'Program' > 'Program' Version 2.0.3 19
11. The board will now be programmed. When the interface board is busy programming, all the LED's will be off, when it has power and it has been programmed the appropriate LED's will blink. 12.The Interface board has now been programmed and is ready for use. If you disconnected a reader at step 9, you may now reconnect it again. 20 IP Card Reader Upgrade
