Range of products concerned: Bioline RANGE Geoline RANGE Nomad & Access RANGE By ADVENTYS PRO Every product has different structure, mechanic and electronic pieces. Please use each product s notice and guide along with this general technical guide.
Please check the following points before you start any step or chapter of this guide, or any operation you have to make on the product. The product is clean. Fans are not greasy nor obstruct by dust. Seal around the vitro ceramic top is ok: sealing necessary. The vitro ceramic top (no crack, fissure, split or any type of break). Make sure the product did not had any mechanical or electrical changes ( supply cable cut, hole drilling, welding, ) made by someone not allowed to do so. Electrical plug in line of the product must be : 230V +/- 10% mono-phase 50Hz or 60Hz +/- 2%. The fans have to run properly (efficient, exhaust fans operate well, make sure pipes ventilation are connected on fresh air). Note: for manufacturer information, please check and write the pans brands and the pans type used by customers.
#0. Plug the device. The induction countertop works with a suitable connection in terms of line capacity ( 16 A current. Except for IRBR2 6200 : 32A current). The voltage is 230V +/- 10% and the frequency is 50 or 60 Hz +/- 2%. Problems No-compliant connection ( a three phases plug into a two phases) Voltage is too low Voltage is very low Consequences no message appears on the display but the device beeps regularly Message on the display = F9 The generator will not start Solution: the problem is not coming from the product but from the power supply or an external source, this is why you have nothing to change on the product itself.
#1. After the product is plugged, nothing happens. If the power supply is the good one and is working properly: open the product. Check: FP1 FP2 1. Control electrical connection within the product. Re-do it if necessary. 2. Control fuses FP1 and FP2 on the electronic generator board. (FP1 and FP2 are located on the copper side). 3. Noticeable arc or burn marks on: Plastic bracket Aluminum heat sink Power board Solution: Replace defective power board and if needed the plastic bracket. FYI: the capacitor on the power board could remain electrically loaded, if you replace the power board. DO NOT TOUCH THE SURFACE of the power board ON THE COPPER SIDE. (security advice)
#2. Product ventilated then stopped. Check that connections are carried out and locked between: Keyboard and power board. Knob and the keyboard.* *Only for IRBR2 6200. Solution: If the test is OK, replace the keyboard. For IRBR2 6200, replace the knob if it is necessary.
#3. Product ventilated constantly. Check: There are no cut wires. There are no wires without plastic protection around it. That all connectors are in their right place and in their right positioning. That all connectors are mechanically lock down. Check connections and low voltage wiring: Between the keyboard and power board. Between the knob and the keyboard*. On the power board. On the keyboard. On the display card. *Only for IRBR2 6200. Solution: Follow procedure # 2.
F1 F2 F3* F4* F5 F6 #4. Product displays an immediate default. Problem: Front heating zone: sensor (NTC) problem. In short circuit (F1) or In open circuit (F2) Rear heating zone: sensor (NTC) problem. In short circuit (F3) or In Open circuit (F4) Electronic board : Sensor (NTC) problem. In short circuit (F5) In Open circuit (F6) Solution: Check the assembly, the good connections, and the ohmic value of sensor (NTC). The ohmic value is: At 25 C: around 125 Kohm. But if the temperature is lower or higher than 25, the variation can be from 250 Kohm to 50 Kohm. Replace the power board because the sensor (NTC) is welded on it. F9 Electrical power supply problem Line voltage is out of range (voltage has to be between 207 and 253V) (frequency has to be equal to 50 or 60 Hz +/- 2%) *Only for IRBR2 6200.
#5. Constant flashing display when you use a pan on the product. Problem: Solution: The pan is not compatible with induction Or The pan is not recognized by the device. Use a pan that is compatible with induction. A magnet has to be attracted to the bottom of the pan. «Control Induc» type of pans loose their magnetic properties while getting hot and can induce this default as well. If used pans are compatible with induction, check : the good positioning of the coil underneath the vitro ceramic glass and control the state of the coil. The good connections with screw of the coil wires on the generator board. If everything is OK, Follow procedure # 1.*
#6. While the product is running or after it is switched off, permanent or temporary default appears on the display. F7 F8 Problem: The temperature of the electronic board is too high. Message will appear every time the product is turned on until the temperature of electronic components comes back to normal: The board is in a security state. Problem with front or rear heating zone sensor (NTC): wrong positioning Inversion of the front sensor (NTC) with the back sensor (NTC). Solution: Check fans (Clean and run properly). Check that ventilation is running properly. Check the setting and the mounting of sensor NTC on the aluminum bracket. If everything is OK, replace le power board.
General rules of dismantling an HATCO induction countertop. Follow technical instructions provided for each product in order to disassemble properly each type of device and component. Each product has its own particular structure and its own way to be disassemble. Before any type of intervention, unplug the power supply. To remove the power board, you have to: Disconnect carefully the keyboard Disconnect the coil, and unplug carefully the sensor (NTC). Check that there are no contact between the heat sink and any metallic part, as well as between the electronic boards and any metallic part. Check all wires and make sure their plastic protection are ok. Watch out for the sharp edges and make sure wires can not be damaged by it.
Insulation parts Make sure the ELASTIC INSULATION PARTS is in the right place and in a proper state of use.
Make sure the EARTH GROUND SCREW is in the right place and in the right position. It has to be tighten correctly and strongly to provide the best quality and the best security of the product. Check the ground screw s presence between the power board and the metallic bracket
SENSOR (NTC) The sensor is assembly on the aluminum bracket with a sort of contact paste to ensure responsiveness. If you got to replace the sensor (NTC), we recommend to order an equipped disk which includes a sensor (NTC) already installed on the bracket. Check the sensor (NTC) connection * Depending of the product. Shunt* Plug for the sensor (NTC)
