3 LEICA GS18T With integrated quality assurance, the GS18T GNSS RTK rover records how the pole was levelled during the measurement and stores the values, ensuring measurement traceability and complete quality reporting. Within Infinity, users can visualise the measured data, including the creation of reports providing full traceability and quality assurance for themselves and their clients. Users can also make edits to the Pole length in the case of incorrect input from the field. TILT VALUES Importing of GS18T data includes if the Tilt values were used during the point measurement. - The Point role icon has indication of tilt applied or not - Tilt values are listed with the GNSS observations in Inspector and Properties 4 SURFACES - CUT FILL MAPS AND TOLERANCE AREAS CUT FILL MAP New functionality is available with the Surfaces Module to allow users to create comparisons between two surfaces, called Cut Fill Maps. These create new objects that are available in the Navigator Library and the Inspector Features Groups. Its possible to generate several surface comparisons from the same reference surface. This is useful when a user needs to monitor field work to compare differences. Two types of Cut Fill Map comparisons are available Height Difference and Tolerance and are described below. CUT FILL TYPE: HEIGHT DIFFERENCE When using this surface comparison, the heights are compared and displayed using settings to define the height differences visually from the reference surface. CUT FILL TYPE: TOLERANCE This type is for users who want to compare height differences between two surfaces but also need to compare defined tolerances of the differences. By entering the value for what is in tolerance below and above the reference surface, the user will also have tolerance lines generated that form the contours of the differences. These tolerance lines can then be exported as a DXF to the field software for easy stakeout when required to mark the regions out of tolerance. 5/12

COLOUR RAMP SETTINGS For the Height Difference method, the user sets the number of color steps to be used, and the size of each step. This will compute the values for applying the color bands. Any step value can be edited individually. For color settings, choose from a list of predefined color band themes to get started or edit the colors of each step if required. CUT FILL REPORT For both types, users can generate and store reports that will include a visualization of the surface, a histogram of the height differences and the cut / fill values between the entire two surfaces. MATERIAL FACTORS For more accurate volume computation, users can enter values for both the Cut and the Fill. These values are available in the Cut Fill Report as a separate output. 5 NETWORK ADJUSTMENT PRE-ANALYSIS With the new Pre-Analysis report, users can now generate a report before performing the adjustment in order to review unknowns which cannot be solved as well detect possible weaknesses in the network. The Pre-Analysis reports are stored to a new group in the Inspector, which allows the user easy access and ability to compare results based on addressing or extending the data considered for adjustment. REPORT UPDATES Network Adjustment reports are updated to include the additional information of the Loops Report ERRORS & WARNINGS Errors and warning messages have been extended and improved to suggest to the user the source of the error or warning. This will help the user to better understand and address the inconsistencies. 6/12

CONFIDENCE LEVELS Users can define the confidence levels as required. 6 COGO COMPUTE POINT Computing points - the user can choose from a selection of methods with various data inputs that allow creating a new point or a series of points. The COGO computation is 2D and identical as the Captivate and SmartWorx Viva field software. Depending on the compute method the user can define how the height value should be included for the computation. MEASURE POINT TO POINT Now added is ability to store a report of the Measure Point to Point results. The user can measure between several sets of points and can choose which results they wish to have in the report by closing the not wanted results. This lets a user compare results such as the differences between grid and ground horizontal distances. 7 LEVEL PROCESSING IMPORT OF ADJUSTED LEVEL LINES With the LS FW 2.0 and using HeXML format its possible to import the level line adjusted results as stored from the LS digital level. This is useful for general data documentation but if required the user can combine or readjust the level lines as required in Infinity. REVERSE LEVEL LINE Its now possible to choose a level line and reverse its direction including the ordering of measurements. Combine the Reverse Level Line with the Join level line to generate a closed level loop if required. SIMULTANEOUS LINES Import level lines that are using the SimBFFB method. This is used when running long level lines and the user chooses to run two lines simultaneously. ALLOWABLE LINE MISCLOSURE Users can input values used to calculate allowable line misclosure, relative to the sensor (a) and required accuracy (b), they wish to achieve. 7/12

IMPORT SENSOR DETAILS STAFF NAME Using the HeXML export from the LS Digital Level family, the sensor serial number and Import of staff names is support such as when using Invar Staffs its common to use the serial number as the name of the staff. IMPORT FREE CODES When measuring level lines and using Free Codes, these are now imported and visible including ability to edit. 8 GNSS POST PROCESSING DISPLAY OF KINEMATIC TRACKS Improvements to accessing GNSS tracks includes adding tracks in the Navigator Library and the Inspector as a separate group. This allows user an easy way to locate and manage kinematic tracks within a project including view settings, exporting and deleting. KINEMATIC TRACK AVERAGING When processing Kinematic data from two or more reference stations a reduced kinematic track is computed. The two contributing tracks are merged to generate the average track. There is no averaging tolerances for these tracks. PROCESS KINEMATIC TRACK USING SPP Its possible to compute code solution for the kinematic track events. This is useful to let users view the approximated kinematic track on import of data to a project From the Info & Settings, GNSS Processing, choose the Process Navigated Track on Import 9 GNSS MANAGER SATELLITE AVAILABILITY AVAILABILITY BY SITE Added to the GNSS Manager, its now possible to compute satellite availability status prior to field observation campaigns. A site is needed for any predictions you want to determine the satellite availability for on a given day. The user can manually enter the position if they have the position information. As well, from the background map its easy to use the mouse pointer with a right click, New Site to quickly extract the position for a site. 8/12

And direct from within a project the user can select a GNSS position and with the right click, and by choosing open the Satellite Availability window, the position is taken over. NEW PREDICTION Once having a site available, the user can generate the prediction for a defined a period of time for that site. The prediction will be based on the selected GNSS constellations, time, cut off angle. A prediction requires an almanac and if connected to the internet Infinity will attempt to download an almanac which relates to the selected prediction time. Likewise its possible to import or select from the almanacs within the project. PREDICTION REPORT From any stored prediction, the user can generate a report to print or to share. All reports can be saved in the project. The report includes the map location for the site for easy awareness of the location. 10 MAP SERVICES WMS & WMTS USER DEFINED SERVICES HEXAGON IMAGERY PROGRAM Users can now define their own BaseMap service providers for using in their projects. Support for WMS and WMTS services is included. From the Services menu, a user will choose the service that is to added, then define the URL and once verified can define the default layer they wish to view in the project. Enhanced for HxIP is ability to select the specific base map layer which should be used in the graphic view. 11 IMPORT DATA DBX HEXML 1.9 DXF/DWG IFC, IFC.ZIP Support for the TPS Unleveled Setup that allow the user to view the data using the transformation from the setup method. This includes all measure points and scan points. The most current version of HeXML is included with this version. Importing AutoCAD 2018 is supported. Enhancements to reading and displaying attribute information. 12 EXPORT DATA ASCII SPECIAL CODES ASCII RTK INFO Define custom ASCII export settings that combine code and attribute information including linework flags in a way that supports a better data path to CAD office packages. ASCII export template adds variables for Points measured by RTK including RTK reference ID, distance from RTK reference, satellites used, and number of epochs. 9/12

HEXML 1.9 XML The most current version of HeXML is included with this version. Enhancements to using Captivate Stylesheets for export. 13 FEATURES LINEWORK FLAGS LINEWORK FLAGS Users can define the terms used that describe the geometry of the Line and Area such as BEG for Begin Line or CLO for Closing a line. These settings are found under Info & Settings, Features group. This is useful for users who are exporting in ASCII format for AutoCAD or Bentley softwares to rebuild the feature data. 14 ASCII EXPORT TEMPLATE SETTINGS SORT BY FEATURE To better support moving field collected data to third party software, its possible to export ascii data sorted by Feature. This sets the ability to define special code handling for arranging the code, description, features in the ascii file. SPECIAL CODE To best take advantage of sorting by feature, a new ASCII field is made available called Special Code. This is the output for the code expression that sets how the code, attribute, code information and feature name is written in the ASCII export, including the separator. EDIT CODE EXPRESSION Easily define the Code Expression by selecting or entering the characters to be part of the export. Build the expression with the available related feature information fields. 10/12

15 GENERAL APPLICATION IMPROVEMENTS LINES/AREAS USING NAVIGATED GNSS POINTS Points used in lines and areas are updated to the GNSS Post Processed point role after post processing. This is for cases when users measuring lines or areas in the field have stored raw GNSS observations when no RTK corrections were available. CODETABLE Several improvements added to the CodeTable including: - enter up to 48 characters for code names - enter up to 32 characters for code attributes ( type Text only ) NEW FEATURE TEMPLATE ID S CONVERT DWG TO DXF SURVEY LAYER MANAGER JSIM JAPANESE GNSS ANTENNA IMPORT OUT OF AVERAGE FLAGS When creating features inside Infinity such as Points, Lines/Areas, Surfaces and so on, the ID templates have been enhanced to follow Captivate conventions. As well each feature type recalls its last used ID for more efficient data management. A very useful feature of Infinity allows users of Captivate or icon Field to import a DWG drawing file and export to DXF. This is done by importing the DWG in to a project and by selecting the DWG from the source, choosing Export Selection, and choosing DXF for export. To export only a selection of the DWG, select the specific layers or objects needed to export as required before choosing Export Selection. Additional Survey Layers are added for displaying specific code data in the project but also available for defining the code data for export to DXF or DWG: - Point Code Attributes - Point Code Annotations For Japanese customers, its possible to import the local antenna calibration defintions. When the Average point role has a contributor that is outside the computed mean a warning icon is now displayed. POINT AVERAGING STAKED POINTS In some countries, its required to measure a survey point and then as a check to stake this point and compare the differences. For this we have added the option Info & Settings, Point Averaging to include the staked points in point averaging. GNSS HIDDEN POINTS Points measured by Hidden Point method in the field software Captivate, SmartWorx Viva are now supporting changes to the RTK Base position when editing or updating the point source. The Hidden points are also now included in the Data Source reports. GNSS ANTENNA CALIBRATIONS COMPUTE FROM OBSERVATIONS GNSS antennas that have been calibrated individually are indicated including their serial number For users who are measuring long distances where distances are not possible, the user can compute from 2 or more TPS observations from different stations, a position based on Least Squares computation. 11/12

16 LOCALISATION TOOL LEARNING MATERIALS The Localisation Tool contains additional learning materials that users can download and use for getting to know the new features of v2.4. The learning materials include Quick Guides, Sample Data and links to videos that demonstrate the quick guide steps. STYLESHEETS The Localisation Tool now also includes Stylesheets used for Data Export or custom Data Reports. A pre-set list of general formats can be downloaded and used for data export. Contact your local Leica representative if you have a request for a specific data export format or a need for a customer data report. 12/12
