PIKA Daytona Family Analog voice, fax and VoIP cards The PIKA Daytona family delivers innovation, flexibility and cost savings. Our unique design approach enables you to choose your configuration as a station card, combo trunk/station card or trunk and recording card. Daytona is a cost effective choice for even the most demanding voice, fax and VoIP applications. These scalable, high-density analog interface cards provide from 4 to 24 analog line circuits, switching and digital signal processing (DSP) capacity for every channel. For larger or rapidly expanding systems, each Daytona card supports DSP expansion and an industry standard computer telephony (CT) bus for inter-connecting multiple PIKA cards or a range of specialized telephony products. Included with the voice card is our award-winning software developer kit, PIKA MonteCarlo. Our low-level application programming interface, PIKA API, is the key component of the SDK. Our approach has been to design one API to work with all PIKA cards. The API supports Microsoft Windows XP/2000/2003 and Red Hat and SuSE distributions of Linux. Developers around the world use the Daytona family of voice cards and low-level API to design next generation voice services, audio recording, and PC-PBX applications. Scalable Solutions For larger or rapidly expanding systems, each Daytona card supports DSP expansion and an industry standard CT bus for inter-connecting multiple Daytona cards, other PIKA family cards, or a range of specialized telephony products. This feature dramatically increases port scalability and enables DSP horsepower to be independently scaled and dynamically allocated to any line. INNOVATIVE AND FLEXIBLE Daytona cards can be configured to suit your specific needs: Station cards Combo trunk/station cards Trunk and Recording cards Our scalable architecture allows for the combination of multiple applications, which greatly simplifies service deployment. It eliminates the need to deploy rigidly planned and static systems that must be constantly reconfigured to satisfy different demands, and it does not require the costly and timeconsuming installation of separate cards for each and every service offered. 1
Maximum Design Control The PIKA API puts granularity and maximum design control in you hands. Our API delivers advanced resource allocation and represents a single programming interface across our entire family of voice cards. Our API is a highly evolved host system based software engine that provides real-time management of board level resources including telecom network interfaces, switching, and DSP resources. In addition to on-board resource management, the API performs a number of complex functions related to telecom line protocols, circuit switching, voice processing, conferencing and pulse recognition. PIKA API allows you to add new features or increase the amount of resources at any time. Its powerful provisioning features give you control to position your application precisely to your market needs. THE RIGHT VOICE Developers choose Daytona cards to design voice, fax and VoIP applications: Fax systems Call center Integrated voice response (IVR) Auto attendant (AA) Unified messaging (UM) Predictive dialing Conferencing bridging Recording, monitoring and tapping Voice mail Telemarketing Help desk/customer service Dictation/transcription Text-to-speech (TTS) Automated speech recognition (ASR) BENEFITS Single card solution for both active loop start connections and passive recording Integrated architecture supports dynamic access of DSP resources Low level API delivers maximum design control and application performance Supports Red Hat Linux 7.3, SuSE Professional 9, and Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP Shared DSP host processing architecture enables you to benefit from market improvements in PCI and processor architecture Advanced DSP applications support Loop start and station lines on the same card Full switching capabilities Scalable and flexible 2
