Cyclo 500/505 Getting Started Guide Register an Account 1) Go to www.magellancyclo.com and click on the Sign Up button to create an account 2) Enter the required information on screen and follow the prompts in the email received after registering to activate your account. 3) Sign in to your account and download the required plug ins and CycloAgent software for your OS. Follow the instructions on screen 4) If you have a previous version of CycloAgent installed, ensure you uninstall it before proceeding. Uninstallation Instructions and instructions on how to use Cyclo Agent below: http://download.mio.com/magellancyclo/manuals/agent/cycloagent_user%20manual_ Magellan_EN.pdf Synchronising to third party websites 1) Once you have signed in, click on your name in the orange box in top right corner, then click on Account 2) Click on Synchronisation Settings 3) Select the preferred third party website to sync and link your MagellanCyclo.com account to by clicking on Link my account
4) A pop up window will appear, just follow the prompts on screen (eg: for Strava) Enter your Strava log in details 5) Click on Authorize to complete the link. 6) It will display Account linked successfully Click on Close Window to close it. Using CycloAgent 1) Make sure you have an active Internet connection when using CycloAgent. 2) Turn on your device and then connect it to the computer. When prompted, select the Connect to PC option.
3) Sign in by entering your email address and password, and then clicking Sign in. 4) After signing in, you will see the CycloAgent screen that contains 3 tabs: My Device, Settings and MagellanCyclo. 5) To sign out, click Sign out at the bottom of the CycloAgent screen. Registering your Device 1) Click the My Device tab to view the device connection status. If you have not registered your Cyclo device yet, click Register for registration. 2) When prompted, click OK to close the notification window.
3) You will then see the device information screen. 4) To view the detailed registration information, click Register info. The screen will switch to the Settings tab. Scroll down the screen to view the registration information. Uploading Recordings via CycloAgent 1) Connect your device 2) Log into your account
3) Any new recordings will be uploaded automatically 4) Once all recordings have uploaded successfully, it will display: 5) Click View My Data to view uploaded recordings on Magellan Cyclo website. Accessing Magellan Cyclo Website via CycloAgent To access the MagellanCyclo website from CycloAgent, do one of the following: Click the My Device tab and then click View my data. Click the MagellanCyclo tab. Customising the CycloAgent Settings To change the CycloAgent settings, click the Settings tab. You can do the following: To change the display language of CycloAgent, select the desired language from the Language drop-down list. To change the synchronization setting for History with the MagellanCyclo website, select one of the options: All uploaded history will be kept on my device All uploaded history will be deleted from my device (default)
Note that by default, History cannot be restored on your Cyclo device anymore. If you would like to restore the track on your device, please save it from the MagellanCyclo website. You will find the track in the Navigate/Tracks menu. To change the synchronization setting for Tracks with the MagellanCyclo website, select (default) or deselect the check box of the Tracks on MagellanCyclo will be automatically synchronized with your device option. Uploading Tracks to your Cyclo device Method 1 1) Download.gpx file of the track you wish to upload from your preferred website 2) Connect your Cyclo device to your PC 3) Open the MGN_DATA folder 4) Copy and paste the.gpx file to MGN_DATA > DODGE > Tracks folder 5) Disconnect and power up the device. You can search for the track under Navigate > Tracks Method 2 1) Launch Magellancyclo.com website 2) Search for your track via Explore > Find 3) Click on the track name to open it 4) Click on the icon to save the track to your device 5) Click on Tracks and ensure the track is displayed 6) Connect your device to your PC 7) Launch CycloAgent 8) Ensure your Cyclo device is registered to your account and that the below box is ticked in Settings. If it isn't, tick the box. Disconnect your Cyclo device and reconnect again. 9) The tracks will automatically sync over to your Cyclo device. If the tracks don t sync, simply reconnect your Cyclo device. 10) Disconnect and power up the device. You can search for the track under Navigate > Tracks Updating Cyclo 500 series firmware To update your Cyclo 500 series device: 1) Connect your device and launch CycloAgent
2) Click the My Device tab and then click Updates (or Check for Updates, depending on the CycloAgent version). 3) When prompted, click Update to update the Cyclo firmware immediately. (You can also select Later to update at a later time.) 4) Follow the prompts on screen to install and update the firmware on your Cyclo device
