Audio/Video outofsync after export Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 08:58 Hi board after exporting my video project (in accordance to my project settings) the resulting video and audio in the avi file are out of sync. While using the lightworks editor/inline player everything is fine. Here's my settings AVI Pulled Down Transfer/Straight (does not make a difference) 48 khz 16 bit Stereo File (from LR Mix) PAL 4:3 MPEG I-FRAME SD (50; 24 Frames) pls hlp Posted by Cookiecutter - 18 Apr 2012 09:13 Are you setting 24fps on the Matrox panel? If so, this is probably the reason for the audio being out of sync, as you are exporting a PAL clip (25fps) from Lightworks but setting 24fps on the Matrox panel. If you set the Matrox panel to 25fps, is your export then in sync? Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 09:19 1 / 5
hi as i started the project, i decided to use 24 fps (mobile phone shots), so my matrox driver also is set up to use 24 fps. i'll try and will post again. thx so far...i'll update that thread Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 09:45 mmmh does not make any difference. audio/video are still out of sync... any other suggestions? Posted by Cookiecutter - 18 Apr 2012 09:49 Now that the Matrox panel is set to 25fps, please can you change the "Speed" setting to "Straight" and try exporting again? Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 10:21...did that and still does not sync... Posted by Cookiecutter - 18 Apr 2012 10:27 2 / 5
How are you checking sync of the exported file? If you export the edit as 1080p 24fps, does the audio play in sync? Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 10:29 in order to show my setup, some screenshots. am completely desperate - is all my work useless? pls hlp Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 10:31 simply play the avi file within ms media player. as it is a music video clip, i can see that lips and song are out of sync... Posted by Cookiecutter - 18 Apr 2012 10:49 The Matrox panel is still set to 24fps. This needs to be changed to 25fps. Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 11:08 Sorry mate. as setting framerate to 25 did Not work out, i tested further settings and took the screenshot during theses Tests. i tested with 25 frames also and it did not chänge the result. 3 / 5
btw: only setting i changed during testing was fps until now, so all other parameters are the ones i use while export Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 11:20 Does the dc precision in matrox driver affect the Output in Terms of Audio? Posted by Cookiecutter - 18 Apr 2012 11:36 The precision setting will not affect the audio. A couple of things to try: 1. Check that there is no "audio monitor delay" set on the Audio tab of the Project Card. 2. Export the edit as 1080p 24fps and see if the exported edit is then in sync. 3. Check the exported file in another media player to avoid any latency settings. Posted by bluehouserec - 18 Apr 2012 11:41 I'll Check this out later today and keep you on informed. thx so far. 4 / 5
