Mission FCCC/CP/2011/9/Add.1 Annex VII Terms of reference of the Climate Technology Centre and Network I. Mission The mission of the Climate Technology Centre and Network is to stimulate technology cooperation and to enhance the development and transfer of technologies and to assist developing country Parties at their request, consistent with their respective capabilities and national circumstances and priorities, in order to build or strengthen their capacity to identify technology needs, to facilitate the preparation and implementation of technology projects and strategies taking into account gender considerations to support action on mitigation and adaptation and enhance low emissions and climate-resilient development.

CTCN Technical Assistance Request: Fast and simple (3 pages) Submit in any UN language Technical Assistance Provided: To developing countries upon request Value of USD 50,000 to 250,000 State of the art and locally relevant To public, civil society or private entities For a full menu of adaptation and mitigation technologies throughout the technology cycle: i. Development ii. Demonstration iii. Diffusion iv. Commercial Maturity Each technical assistance plan must detail gender considerations

Collaboration & Networking: National Designated Entities (NDEs) 116 NDEs have been selected by their countries as of 29 May 2015

Collaboration & Networking: Climate Technology Network Through its Network, the CTCN mobilizes policy and technical expertise from academia, civil society, finance and private sectors to deliver technology solutions, capacity building and implementation advice to developing countries.

Engage with the CTCN Knowledge Sharing: Share publications, tools, and case studies on gender dimension of climate technologies to be highlighted on ctc-n.org Partner with CTCN on technology webinars that highlight the role of gender in mitigation and adaptation Technical Assistance: Contact your NDE in order to submit a request for CTCN technical assistance, including e.g. gender-relevant project design; building capacity; a broad range of adaptation & mitigation sectors; assistance with identifying project finance; etc. Climate Technology Network: Encourage women-led technology companies, gender and climate networks/orgs to join the Network in order to: Get contracted to deliver CTCN technical assistance to developing countries Network with national decision makers, thought leaders, and other relevant stakeholders Provide capacity building and gain greater visibility for relevant events, reports and tools
