Installing Multiple Boards Winnov Videum enables you to install several Videum capture cards into your system. If you have installed multiple boards in one system, Videum software recognizes the card and assigns a unique number. Default settings are applied to all boards in the system. Most video applications such as Windows Media Encoder allow selection of the audio and video device. Also, see the VFW Driver documentation (provided on the Videum Software CD) for information on selecting and configuring a capture card. CONNECTING VIDEO SOURCES The section describes how to connect your video sources, such as cameras and/or DVDs. The Videum 1000 Plus family boards capture input from only analog color cameras (PAL or NTSC). To connect your video sources, do the following: 1. Connect the camera cable to the Video IN connector. Note: Videum 1010 Plus provides for only a MXC Video IN connection. S-Video IN is used for S-VHS or Hi-8 camcorders. Composite Video IN is used for normal cameras and camcorders. MXC Video IN is used for the Winnov video camera or other cameras via a special interface adaptor cable. See the Hardwaresection for a description. 2. Turn the camera on, if necessary. page 6
