770-D Open Fitting Considerations As a new feature Canta 770-D & 470-D can be fi tted as an open fi tting. This option is applied by installing the ComforTec TM algorithm into a standard Canta 770-D or 470-D. This new algorithm is optimized to enable Hearing Instruments with less occlusion and feedback. The ComforTec TM package can only be installed with Aventa fi tting software, NOT by any version of Fonix II Final Device Test software. When installed it will replace the traditional software in Canta 770-D & 470-D. By testing a Canta 770-D or 470-D on a Final Device Test system, FONIX or DSA 5000, the original software package will be re-installed regardless if a ComforTec package previously has been installed. A ComforTec TM fi tting will be stored and can be re-installed during a repair of a Canta 770-D or 470-D by reading the user settings with Aventa and re-program the instrument after the fi nal device test. Canta Open and ComforTec TM technology requires Aventa 2.0 or higher. It is advisable to use a Fonix II Canta ver. 5.2.1 or higher. Page 4 of 27
