The following instructions will provide guidance on accessing the website, downloading the database(s) and transferring the database(s) to the appropriate Data Loader. To upload the database(s) to the aircraft, reference should be made to the aircraft flight manual and appropriate Data Loader Operators Guide. Select a database loading method below for specific instructions. More than one method may apply to your aircraft. 3. The database(s) you are eligible to download will be displayed. Databases used with the CPAS-3000 Data Loader will have a CPAS extension on the name. Select the database you want to download. 4. A dialog window will appear while the file is being prepared for download followed shortly by the File Download-Security Warning window. Click the Save button. IDOC 0124-08 Page 3 of 27

5. From the Save in: drop down menu, select a location to download the database to and click Save. If you select Desktop (recommended), you will create an icon on your desktop. 6. The file will begin downloading. 7. When the file is finished downloading, press the Open Folder button. 8. 9. Transfer the database to your CPAS-3000 Data Loader computer. This may be accomplished by copy/pasting the database to a USB memory stick or burning it to a CD. If the computer, you are accessing the internet with, also has CPAS-3000 installed (not recommended), you may skip #9 and proceed to step #10. Transfer J6_World-CPAS.exe via or to your CPAS-3000 computer 10. With the CPAS-3000 program closed, execute the file by double clicking on the icon J6_World-CPAS.exe. You do NOT have to be connected to the aircraft. Select Run if prompted. Install Shield Wizard will guide you through the process. Press next and finish until complete. 11. The database is now installed in the CPAS-3000 Data Loader. Verify this by viewing the Manage Data/Software page. When all desired databases are listed on this page, you may proceed to the aircraft for uploading. 9. Execute the file by double clicking the icon J6_World-USB.exe. Select Run if prompted. Select OK after reading the database information in the following window. 10A. Non-Enhanced DBU-5000: (used on Pro-Line 4, or Pro-Line 21 without IFIS aircraft) Select the letter that corresponds to your USB removable disk drive. If it is not E:\ change as appropriate (i.e. F:\) and select Unzip. The database files must be unzipped to the root directory of the USB memory stick and only one database can be loaded at a time. 10B. Enhanced DBU-5000: (used on Pro-Line 21 with IFIS aircraft) Select Browse, choose the appropriate folder on your USB memory stick and select OK. Note the location in the Unzip to folder: and select Unzip. Click here (Page 25) for recommendations to manage your USB memory stick folders. 11. Database files are now on the USB memory stick, select OK. 12. The database(s) is now ready to be loaded into the aircraft via the USB memory stick and the DBU- 5000 Data Loader. 3. The database(s) you are eligible to download will be displayed. (Databases that end with -USB, -PCD or -CPAS will not allow you to create floppy discs.) 4. A dialog window will appear while the file is being prepared for download followed shortly by the File Download-Security Warning window. Click the Save button. IDOC 0124-08 Page 21 of 27

5. From the Save in: drop down menu, select a location to download the database to and click Save. If you select Desktop (recommended), you will create an icon on your desktop. 6. The file will begin downloading. 7. When the file is finished downloading, press the Open Folder button. 8. 9. Execute the file by double clicking the icon J6_world.exe. Select Run if prompted. Select OK after reading the database information in the following window. 10. The WinZip Self-Extractor will be displayed. Selecting Unzip will unzip the files to a temporary directory and begin the diskette creation process. 11. WinZip will confirm the files were extracted. Select OK to start the Imaging program that will create the diskettes. 12. A WinImage Self Extractor window will display the Navigation Database, Effective Dates, and the number of diskettes required. Select OK. IDOC 0124-08 Page 23 of 27

13. You will be prompted to insert the first diskette. Insert a diskette into the drive and select OK. 14. The program will format, write and verify the content of each disk. When prompted for subsequent diskettes, insert diskette into the drive and select OK. 15. When the last diskette is made, the labels for the diskettes will be displayed in Microsoft Word format. These may be applied to the set of diskettes just created. The labels are set up to print on Avery label number 5196. 16. The database is now ready to be loaded into the aircraft via the diskettes and the DBU-4000/4100 Data Loader. USB Memory Stick Management for Enhanced DBU-5000 1. The Enhanced DBU-5000 is capable of reading databases located in folders on the USB memory stick. This allows you to have all your databases on 1 stick at the same time. We recommend you set up the following directories on your USB memory stick. These are only recommendations to help organize the databases and can be altered as you feel necessary. 2. You should begin with a blank, 1 GB (min.), USB memory stick that does not contain any pre-installed Windows based programs, such as the U3 Launch Pad. Insert into USB drive of computer. View Operator Bulletin #0073-08 for USB Media recommendations. 3. Open My Computer and select the USB Removable Disk drive. In this example it is (E:). IDOC 0124-08 Page 25 of 27

4. Now create new folders by selecting File, New and Folder. 5. Rename the folder as appropriate. IDOC 0124-08 Page 26 of 27
