WHAT S IN THE BOX? 1. Evo Aqua case 2. Dummy phone 3. Cleaning cloth 4. Instruction guide 5. Opening key OPENING YOUR EVO AQUA 1. Open the SecureClip at the bottom of your case. 2. Insert the supplied opening key into the allocated slot as illustrated and twist to release the back cover. Do not pull on the SecureClip. This could damage your case. 1. 2. PRE-ASSEMBLY CHECKS Before assembling your case, check that the following areas are free from dust, debris and damage: 2 3

Insert these hooks into the slots on the back side of the front cover. WATER TEST Your Evo Aqua was water tested before it left our factory. To make sure that nothing s happened to it in transit, we suggest that you test it again before using it for the first time. 5. Using your thumbs, press these hooks firmly up into their slots. 10.When all the clips are engaged securely, visually inspect the main seal and ensure that there s nothing obstructing it. 7. Repeat this at the bottom of your case, making sure that the clips on either side of the SecureClip, and the clips on each corner of your case, are engaged securely. 8. Moving your way along each side of your case, use your index fingers to squeeze the sides of your case inwards towards your device, whilst using your thumbs to press the back-plate down into the front cover. Take your time and make sure that each individual clip is engaged. Even a slight gap could cause a leak. 11.Submerge your Evo Aqua, face down, in a bowl of water for 30min. To keep it submerged, we suggest using a small weight. 12. Remove your case from the water, shake off any excess water and towel dry (exterior only). 9. Close the SecureClip. 13. Open your case following the instructions above and check inside for any water ingress. If your case is dry inside, go ahead and install your phone (instructions below). If water has entered your case, please discontinue use and contact our customer service team (details to follow). 6 7
DEVICE INSTALLATION 1. Remove any screen protectors and/or cases and clean your phone using the supplied cleaning cloth. 4. Press your phone down firmly into your case. 5. Rotate the mute dial on your case to make sure that it engages correctly with the mute switch on your phone. 2. Make sure that the mute dial is in the position illustrated below and that your phone is not switched to silent mode. 6. Insert the SecureHooks on the top of your case s back-plate into the slots on the back side of the front cover. 3. Insert your phone into the front cover, base first, making sure that the microphone and speakers are engaged correctly. 7. Using your thumbs, press these hooks firmly up into their slots. You should feel them shift up into place. 8. Using both of your thumbs and index fingers, squeeze the top left and top right corners of your case firmly together, making sure that the clips on either side of the three SecureHooks are engaged securely. 8 9
9. Repeat this at the bottom of your case, making sure that the clips on either side of the SecureClip, and the clips on each corner of your case, are engaged securely. 10. Moving your way along each side of your case, use your index fingers to squeeze the sides of your case inwards towards your device, whilst using your thumbs to press the back-plate down into the front cover. Take your time and make sure that each individual clip is engaged. Even a slight gap could cause a leak. 11. Close the SecureClip. 13. Follow the handset manufacturer s instructions to reprogram the Touch ID on your phone. This will make sure that it recognises your fingerprint through the waterproof membrane. 14. Your Evo Aqua is now ready to use. DEVICE REMOVAL 1. Never open your Evo Aqua in/or under water. In order to stop any water getting in when you re opening it, first shake off any water and then dry it with a towel. 2. Remove the back of your case by following the instructions in the section titled opening your Evo Aqua. 3. Place one of your hands underneath the open back of your case to catch your phone. 4. Using your other hand to hold the front cover of your case, gently press onto your phone s screen. Your phone should fall out into your hand below. 12. Visually inspect the main seal to ensure that there s nothing obstructing it. 10 11
CARE & MAINTENANCE 1. Water test your Evo Aqua every 3 months, and before any planned deep water exposure, as per the instructions for the water test detailed above. 2. If your case comes into contact with soap, seawater or chlorine, rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Do not use bleach, alcohol or proprietary cleaners. 3. Before every use, inspect the seals and use a damp cloth to wipe away any matter (e.g. sand or grit) which could obstruct it. 4. After any major impact, inspect your case for damage. If you re concerned, carry out a water test. 5. Avoid contact with sharp or abrasive objects. 6. We recommend that you remove your phone from your case on a weekly basis and check for any moisture build-up from the environment. This is completely normal and not a failure of your case. If moisture has built up inside your case, dry it with a towel before reassembling it. Do not store the Evo Aqua in excessively low or high temperature conditions, including heat caused by sunlight. Do not place the Evo Aqua in a fire or other excessively hot environments. Avoid dramatic changes in temperature or humidity. Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, re-purpose or modify the Evo Aqua in any way as you risk damaging the product and such damage isn t covered by the limited warranty. If you, the purchaser intend for the Evo Aqua to be used by a minor, you as the purchasing adult agree to provide detailed instructions and warnings to any minor prior to the Evo Aqua being used. Failure to do so is your sole responsibility as the purchaser, and you agree to indemnify tech21 for any unintended use or misuse by a minor. WARRANTY The Evo Aqua is warranted for 1 year from the date of purchase against verified manufacturing defects, provided the Evo Aqua is used in full compliance with tech21 s instructions (supplied with the case and available at tech21.com/ how-to). Following submission of a warranty claim in accordance with the procedure described at tech21.com/warranty, tech21 will at its sole discretion (1) repair the Evo Aqua at no charge (2) exchange the Evo Aqua for a replacement or (3) refund the original purchase price. This warranty does not affect statutory rights to which you may be entitled. This warranty excludes damage resulting from wear and tear, modifications, unauthorized repairs, 12 13
accident, abuse or other causes that are not verified manufacturing defects. Proof of Purchase as evidence the unit was purchased from an authorised dealer within the warranty period is required. Tech21 s Evo Aqua for iphone 7 has been designed for use with an iphone 7 only. It is not recommended to use it with any other device or personal property. EXCLUSIONS & LIMITATIONS Tech21 disclaims liability for any special, incidental, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages for breach of any warranty of any type on any tech21 product. This limited warranty does not, under any circumstances, cover the replacement or cost of any electronic device or personal property or data that may be damaged or lost inside or outside of the Evo Aqua case.
