Program-specific bitmap images, help files, and user manuals are only installed on your company s server but can be copied to your local workstation through the lient erver Workstation nstall utility. pell heck Maintenance pell heck Maintenance allows you to check the spelling of any data-entry field in M 90/M 200 by pressing RL + F1. pell heck Maintenance can be configured to automatically check spelling on exit of a changed field by selecting that field in pell heck Maintenance. pell heck Maintenance allows you to specify fields that you require to be spell checked whenever they are modified. pell heck Maintenance provides a list of available fields by application and menu selection. he fields listed are determined at runtime by the modules installed on your system. Highower ata efinitions he Highower ata efinitions provides the technical details for each window and field in each of the installed Highower modules. You can use this information for troubleshooting purposes. 40 Highower uses ppforge MobileV software for the imekeeper and Remote alesperson modules (but not for canlaster). imekeeper and canlaster require device licenses, but Remote alesperson does not (Remote alesperson requires an external user licenses). he device license structure is based on the user, device, and application. Users are setup in Remote User Maintenance, devices are setup in Remote evice Maintenance, and licenses are managed in Remote License Maintenance. tandard torage Locations Highower P pplications are stored in the M 90 or M 200 directory structure. 41 ppforge ooster Highower uses the ppforge MobileV software for Remote alesperson and imekeeper. n order for a Highower enhancement to run on the mobile device, the ppforge ooster must first be installed on the device. his software is included with the Highower installation process. he ooster is free for Palm devices and Pocket P (Windows ) devices. o use barcode scanning in Remote alesperson on a Palm device, ooster Plus must be downloaded from ppforge. 5: canlaster does not require ooster. nstalling and onfiguring Your P evice his section briefly describes how to install Highower software to your P device and what to configure before you can use the Highower enhancement. Palm evices ynchronization of data from a Palm device is handled by the Hotync Manager. he Hotync Manager runs a conduit. he execution of the conduit is determined by two conditions. he first is that the conduit must be registered with the Hotync Manager. he second is that the Palm application associated with the conduit is present on the device. o use a Highower module on a Palm device, a Palm esktop of 4.0 or later must be installed, and at least one Palm device must have synchronized with the workstation. 45 he synchronization of a Palm device across a M 200 connection has a slightly different architecture. Most of the code that actually sends data to the Hotync Manager must be executed on the same workstation as the Hotync Manager. o achieve this effect, copies of the necessary Library Master programs are on the workstation as well. With a M 200 connection there are at least two layers of slower wire-line communication, so synchronizing in this scenario may be slower than synchronizing with a M 90 installation. his fact is especially important to keep in mind when using technologies like itrix.
