Welcome to the Highower Library Master Module he Highower Library Master module is required by every Highower module for est oftware s M 90/M 200 system. he Highower Library Master module includes our unique Patch nstallation feature, which installs the Highower enhancements without overwriting your original est oftware program or modules written by other Master evelopers. his module also contains maintenance features for Highower applications designed for remote devices, and a utility for Palm conduits. n addition, Highower Library Master module includes utilities for troubleshooting Highower enhancements, such as the nhancement iagnostic nquiry feature and the Highower ata efinitions. hapter 1: ntroduction Highower Library Master Manual

8 he Highower Library Master module also includes the pell heck Maintenance feature free of charge. his feature was available in the Highower pell heck module, but will now be installed for all Highower software users. his feature can check the spelling in virtually any entry field across LL of your M 90/M 200 modules. Using the Highower Library Master Manual his manual provides the information necessary for installing and operating your Highower Library Master module. 12 Using the nline Help he Highower Library Master includes an extensive online help with the standard content online help and context-sensitive online help for fields and windows. nline Help pen the nline Help For field level context-sensitive help, move your cursor to the field and press F1. pop-up window appears with help for the field. 13 Highower upport ervices Highower provides several methods of support for your Highower Library Master module: ontact your uthorized Reseller or onsultant. f you do not have an uthorized Reseller or onsultant, contact Highower (1.888.583.3000). How Highower Library Master Works he Highower Library Master module is required by every Highower module. 15 lient/erver Workstation nstall he lient/erver Workstation nstall feature allows your company to install client/server versions of Highower enhancements on your company s server as well as your local workstation. Local workstation installations provide only the necessary program files required by the computer to interact with the shared server. Program-specific bitmap images, help files, and user manuals are only installed on your company s server but can be copied to your local workstation through the lient erver Workstation nstall utility. pell heck Maintenance pell heck Maintenance allows you to check the spelling of any data-entry field in M 90/M 200 by pressing RL + F1. pell heck Maintenance can be configured to automatically check spelling on exit of a changed field by selecting that field in pell heck Maintenance. pell heck Maintenance allows you to specify fields that you require to be spell checked whenever they are modified. pell heck Maintenance provides a list of available fields by application and menu selection. he fields listed are determined at runtime by the modules installed on your system. Remote User Maintenance he Remote User Maintenance feature is required by Highower remote modules including canlaster and imekeeper. 16 Remote License Maintenance he Remote License Maintenance feature is required by Highower remote modules including canlaster and imekeeper. he Remote License Maintenance feature is used to assign available licenses to particular applications. ach User/evice/pplication combination requires one license. P pplication nstall he P pplication nstall feature is required to install Highower remote modules such as canlaster and imekeeper on P devices. You must connect your P device while installing. nhancement Patch nstall Highower features a Patch nstallation system when installing our enhancements. Highower does not install modified versions of your M 90/M 200 modules. he nhancement Patch nstall feature inserts lines of code into your existing M 90/M 200 modules, and into programs modified by other Master evelopers (unless the Master eveloper password protects the est owned M 90 programs). he nhancement Patch nstall feature, creates a backup of the M 90/M 200 modules before inserting the lines of code. f you ever uninstall a Highower module, your system will return to the backed up version of the modules. Palm onduit Utility he Palm onduit Utility feature is required for Highower remote modules such as imekeeper on P devices. his feature allows you to view conduit information. hapter 2: Highower Library Master oncepts Highower Library Master Manual

17 nhancement iagnostic nquiry he nhancement iagnostic nquiry feature is new with version 4.0. he nhancement iagnostic nquiry feature is located under the Highower Library Master Utilities menu. his feature is used to view company parameters and program revision information. imply select an enhancement you want to view and the company parameters for the company you are currently in will display, along with the revision number for all the programs in that enhancement. Highower ata efinitions he Highower ata efinitions provides the technical details for each window and field in each of the installed Highower modules. You can use this information for troubleshooting purposes. Highower Migrate Level 3 ata he Highower Migrate Level 3 ata Wizard brings over the remote user, device, and license information from your previous version of M 90 or M 200. f you have canlaster, imekeeper, or Remote alesperson installed on a 4.00 M 90 or M 200 system and also had them installed on a 3.xx level of M 90 or M 200, then run the Highower Migrate Level 3 ata Wizard to bring over the setup information for these modules. he setup information that will be migrated to your 4.00 system is Remote User records, Remote evice Records, Remote License records, Fid0Map records, and any M90xxx.ini files. his concludes hapter 2: Highower Library Master oncepts of the Highower Library Master manual. hapter 2: Highower Library Master oncepts Highower Library Master Manual

22 ystem tartup ystem tartup is an automatic procedure that must be performed once per company. his procedure is initiated the first time you access Highower Library Master for a specific company. etup the Highower Library Master in the Role Maintenance You must make sure that you check the Highower Library Master module in the Role Maintenance feature of the M 90/M 200 s Library Master module. 1 From the M 90/M 200 s Library Master, select Role Maintenance from the Main menu. 23 Register the Highower Library Master Module You can install all Highower enhancements for a 45-access trial period. When you purchase an enhancement, you will receive a registration and key from your Highower representative. You register Highower enhancements through the Highower Library Master module. 1 From the Highower Library Master module, select Highower nhancement Registration from the Main menu. he nhancement Registration window appears.
