GSAP Roles & Profiles Title Associate Customer Service Engineer (ACSE) Associate Delivery Specialist (ADS) Associate Consultant (AC) Associate Technical Support Engineer (ATSE) Associate Project Manager (APM) Associate Systems Engineer (ASE) Description Supports and provides maintenance of EMC products onsite, at customer locations. Provides custom integration, implementation and configuration support on EMC products involving software at the customer site. Provides technical and consultative support on EMC technical solution opportunities on a range of IT consulting engagements. Provides remote support to internal and external EMC customers from centrally located EMC support centers. Works with customers, partners and internal resources to manage the delivery of billable engagements from architectural design to project completion. Supports presales activities (architecture, configuration, qualification, and supporting documentation) leading to the sale of EMC solutions. Boot Camps in 9 locations Over 4,000 Associates 12 Unique Training Programs 2004 Program Launch in Franklin, MA. 2007 Expanded to seven customized training programs. 2009 Expanded boot camps to Shanghai, China and Bangalore, India. 2010 Expanded boot camps to Cairo, Egypt. 2012 Expanded boot camps to Cork, Ireland and Draper, Utah & introduced 11 th training program. 2014 Expanded boot camps to North Ryde, Australia and RTP, North Carolina. 4
GSAP Components Hiring & Onboarding Recruiters and hiring managers partner to match prospective candidates to the right role. Onboarding begins at or just before Training Boot Camp. Training Boot Camp A 5-8 week* intensive training period that takes place in one of GSAP s nine training centers. Associates are given ample opportunities to practice technical and professional skills throughout the boot camp. Role Transition to Field Associates return to their base office to begin work in the field. Using a customized Transition Guide, Associates assimilate to their new role. Performance & Compensation Review Mentoring Associates are paired with experienced mentors for the first and last 6 months of the program. Mentor Buddy assists with assimilation to local office, team & role. Mentor Coach assists with transition out of GSAP. Associates receive a formal performance review every 6 months.** Merit increases allocated based on GSAP guidelines and performance. At the final performance review, all Associates graduate the GSAP program with an opportunity for a promotion. *Boot camp durations vary by role. ** Associates receive 3-4 performance reviews through the duration of their program. After graduation from GSAP, Associate s performance reviews adhere to the EMC Corporate annual program cycle. 5

How is Boot Camp Structured? Objectives Achieve your EMC foundational level certification. Learn how your role fits into the greater EMC Federation. Articulate the current EMC Federation strategy. Have a functional understanding of EMC products. Gain comfort speaking confidently on EMC technology. Learn how to effectively leverage role-specific resources and tools. Create lasting relationships with your peers. Learn as much as you can, and have fun! Environment Structured training program. Leadership & coaching provided consistently by GSAP Team Leads.
