R Wiring Diagram Reference Wiring diagrams and electrical connections The new lighting systems, that use light sources in a LED solid state must be connected to the main voltage through electronic devices that maintain the critical parameters of operation constant. With Leds in particular, the current values that pass through the light source must remain constant and if necessary measurements are not taken to keep these parameters constant, the LED will tend to absorb higher currents resulting overheating triggering a vicious mortal cycle of the semiconductor. Because of this physicalelectric phenomenon the systems with LED technology need very sophisticated control devices compared to the traditional sources. The current control can be integrated into the power supply or can be placed between the power supply and the LED system. In this case the Led connection should be done in series with a maximum quantity of 10/12 Led that can be connected In the most evolved systems the control electronic can be split and integrated directly on the PCB together with the Leds; here the connection can be done in parallel with a 24V dc power supply and without any limit of the quantity of Leds that can be connected To facilitate the user in consulting this catalog, in this section there is a list of all the diagrams of connection between control gears, interfaces and power supplies, as well as the combination of the correct power supplies / control gear and lighting systems showing the article codes. Important note: Suggested maximum distance from driver: 30ft (using 18 AWG solid copper wire) Disclaimer: Distances, type of wiring and gauge must be determined by a certified professional to avoid voltage drop problem. Maximum 9m (30 ft) Serial connection Maximum 9m (30 ft) Parallel connection
