Installing Windows Server 2012 If you are installing onto bare metal: Boot from DVD or bootable USB media If you are installing into a virtual machine Insert DVD into drive and configure VM to use it Copy the ISO file to a location on your machine, create a VM and boot from the ISO 5

System Requirements 512MB RAM minimum (more preferred) 32GB hard disk space minimum DVD drive to boot and install from or virtualization installed (not Virtual PC) Dual boot with Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008R2, should work provided you have freed up necessary disk space 6
