Certified Technical Training for Emerson Flow Instruments Helping you to maximize your Flow instrument investment

Utilize the full range of product features to achieve the highest value from your flow, density and viscosity meter. Emerson Certified Flow Training ensures your instrument technicians and engineers know how to correctly install, configure, startup and troubleshoot your Micro Motion Coriolis flow, density and viscosity meters, and Rosemount Magnetic and Vortex flowmeters. The instructors share their real world experience and lead students through extensive hands-on exercises using the latest configuration tools. This maximizes the training effectiveness and enables attendees to quickly apply their new skills and knowledge on the job. Understanding Emerson Flow technologies can enable you to: 1. Quickly and easily commission and startup new instruments 2. Properly install instruments using best practices 3. Troubleshoot instrument problems 4. Improve instrument lifecycle 5. Reduce downtime 6. Increase production Emerson Certified Instructors offer in-depth product training either at our factory, at local Emerson offices, at hotels in your area or right at your training facility. Types of training offered: Emerson offers several types of training to help you understand our products and how to use them within your process. Instructor led classroom training provides a blend of lectures, hands-on practice and demonstrated learning exercises using functional demos. Emerson now offers online technician training that provides the flexibility for students to take training when it fits their schedule. On-line content also provides an option for access to just-in-time how-to content months after attending an instructor led class. Classes at our headquarters in Boulder or Eden Prairie - conducted by Emerson Certified Trainers and provides an opportunity to meet and learn from other Micro Motion and Rosemount experts Public classes in the field at regional offices or hotel sites - conducted locally by Emerson Certified Field Service Trainers. Provides a convenient and cost-effective option to attend training when there are not enough students for you to justify a class at your site. On-site training at your facility - conducted by Emerson Certified Field Service Trainers. This training can be tailored to specifically address how to maximize your meter investment for your application. On-site training purchased as part of a start-up service - conducted by Emerson Field Service Technicians. Informal, over-the-shoulder training where a small group of your technicians can witness and learn about meter startup and operation from our certified technicians as they commission your meters. Online Micro Motion technician training - four to five hour self-guided, professionally narrated and interactive curriculum covering the commissioning of Micro Motion Coriolis sensors & 2700 transmitters. Designed for customers who want the training that fits their schedule or provides just-in-time refreshers. This class covers today s task, long after the skills learned at an instructor led training class are forgotten. MEASUREMENT EXPERTISE for customer training

Online Training With staff levels at a minimum and the pressures of keeping the process running, you may have difficulty having your people attend an all day training class, even if the class is held locally or at your plant site. Online training is becoming an attractive option to replace or to complement face-to-face training in a classroom. In this area we offer an online curriculum for Coriolis flowmeters. The curriculum is approximately 5-6 hours in length. It starts with the fundamentals covering Theory of Operation and Installation Best Practices. The core of content then covers the step-by-step process of commissioning a Coriolis flowmeter. This includes wiring, establishing communication with one of the four Configuration Tools (Prolink III, AMS Device Manager, HC475 Field Communicator or Display), and then covering how to configure the key parameters of the transmitter using each tool. These how-to modules are interactive and allow the student to experience the use of each tool. The final modules cover the remaining steps of the startup. This new online training allows you to learn at a time that is convenient for you. Viewing our fundamental modules as pre-work for our instructor led training, allows more time for hands-on practice to master the skills you can use on the job. Online content also provides refresher learning materials long after class attendance when some skills may have been forgotten. Our online training offering is specifically designed to help educate individuals who are responsible for startup and maintenance of the equipment. The content in these training courses was written by our company subject matter experts and it is based on years of field experience assisting customers. The modules are professionally narrated and are interactive. This allows the viewer to experience how to use the configuration tool of their choice to complete each task. The modular design of the information provides the flexibility to view as a full curriculum or just a specific module. Class Schedule and Registration: Hold a Class at Your Plant/Training Center. To discuss your needs, get a price proposal or to schedule a class at your plant or training center for up to 10 attendees, call the North American Response Center: (800)-654-7768 Local, Open Enrollment Field Classes (Hotel or Emerson Office) Local open enrollment training classes provide a cost-effective option for those customers that have only a few technicians that need training and where the cost of a dedicated class at their plant site cannot be justified. This provides a cost-effective option to share the expense of conducting the class with other companies.
