GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Being the latest generation of bill counter, this model is the vanguard of our evolution in bill counting technology. Its compact and stylish design is as remarkable as its integrated electronics and multifunction capabilities. Different from other back-loading counters, it employs many detection methods which other back-loading counters do not offer. The internal structure design make this machine far superior from other counting machines. This hi-tech compact counting machine is easy to operate and maintain. It is sturdy, reliable and suitable for all kinds of use. We recommend the user to verify that the box contains all of the items listed here: 1. Machine Body 5. Brush 2. Operation Manual 6. Plug 3. Rubber Roller 7. External Display 4. Rubber Tape SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read and understand all of the instructions and warnings both on the machine and in the manual. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the unit. This product should be operated only from one type of power source indicated in the user s guide. If you are not sure of the type of power supply in your location, consult your dealer or local power company. Only use the cable provided with the unit. The use of other cable may result in electric shock, fire or cause serious damage to the unit. Never push objects of any kind into the unit through case slots, since they may touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts, resulting in a risk of fire or electric shock. Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged. b. If liquid has been spilled into the unit. c. If unit has been exposed to rain or water. d. If the machine has been dropped or the case has been damaged. e. If the product shows a noticeable change in performance. 3

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this product. Take it to qualified service personnel when service or repair work is required. Opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks and void warranty. Do not use the unit if the power cord is damaged or if the plug socket contact is loose. Not following these instructions may result in electric shock, fire or other hazards. When unplugging the power plug, do not pull it by the cord but rather grip the plug and pull it out. POWER UP Connect the power cord to the machine (power outlet), then plug it in to power source and switch the unit on. The unit will conduct a self-checking by spanning the feeding roller while the UV or MG1 / UV functions will be automatically turned on by default. The counting display will show 0 when the unit is ready, which means the machine is in its normal working condition. COUNTING FUNCTION 1) Once the bills are correctly placed in the hopper, the machine will start counting automatically. The number of counted bills will be shown on the counting display. Moreover, once the bills are removed from the stacker and another batch has started counting, the counting display will start from 1 and the BATCH display in turn will show the number of last counted bills instead. Bills need to be placed correctly as indicated in the following steps: Place the bills between the counting guides as shown in figure 1 and figure 2. Swiftly push the bills with a finger (see figure 3) to make them rest on the top of the hopper plate and in the correct counting position. 4

COUNTING FUNCTION 2) ADD Function The ADD function can be performed by pressing the ADD button. When the ADD indicator is on, remove the counted bills from the stacker and start another batch counting. The counting display will not show number from 1 and will be added to the previous counted quantity. Press the ADD button again to close this function. 3) BATCH Function The BATCH function can be performed by pressing the BATCH button. When the BATCH indicator is on, the BATCH number will be set to 100. To adjust BATCH number, press or hold the + or buttons to adjust by single digits, then release when desired BATCH number is reached. NOTE: The ADD function can be performed when the preset function is on. In this case, the machine will stop automatically when its counting quantity reaches the preset value. When starting another batch counting, the counting display will show the total counted sum that s added from a previous counted quantity. 5

COUNTERFEIT DETECTION UV (Ultraviolet) detection function is used to check all kinds of banknotes which contain UV features. The UV function is automatically turned on by default when the machine is powered up. It can also be selected or deselected by pressing the UV button located in the function console. If the machine detects a counterfeit note during counting, it will stop and emit a beeping sound, while the counting display will show the message E-2 and the UV indicator will blink (alerting the presence of a suspicious bill). The suspicious bill will always be the last one in the stacker. Remove suspicious bill and press the RESTART button to continue counting. PLEASE NOTE: There are 10 levels of UV for selection: Hold the RESTART button for 5 seconds until the counting display window shows OP-A and the BATCH display window shows one digit of the number 00-10. Press the button to select UV for sensitivity as required (the higher the number setting, the higher the UV sensitivity). MG (Magnetic) detection function is used to check all kinds of banknotes which contain MG features. The MG function is automatically turned on by default when the machine is powered up. It can also be selected or deselected by pressing the MG button, located in the function console. If the machine detects a counterfeit banknote during counting, it will stop counting and emit a beeping sound, while the counting display will show the message E-3 and the MG indicator will blink (alerting the presence of a suspicious bill). The suspicious bill will always be the last one in the stacker. Remove the suspicious bill and press RESTART button to continue counting. PLEASE NOTE: There are 10 levels of MG for selection: Hold RESTART button for 5 seconds until the counting display window shows OP-A and the BATCH display window shows one digit of the number 00-10. Now press the + button to select OP-B in the counting display window. Press the button select MG sensitivity as required (the higher the number setting, the higher the MG sensitivity). 6

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS 1. Chain Notes Detection Serving as a supplementary function, the chain-note detection can be activated when the unit is powered up. If the machine detects a chain-note during counting, it will stop and emit a beeping sound and the counting display will show the message E-9 (alerting the user to the presence of a chain-note bill). Remove the bill and press RESTART to continue counting. PLEASE NOTE: The suspicious bill will be added to the counted quantity. 2. Half-Note Detection By default, serving as a supplementary function, the half-note detection can be activated when the unit is powered up. If the machine detects a half-note during counting, it will stop and emit a beeping sound and the counting display will show the message E-1 (alerting the user to the presence of a half-note bill). Remove the suspicious bill and press RESTART to continue counting. PLEASE NOTE: The suspicious bill will be added to the counted quantity. 3. Double-Note Detection Hold RESTART button for 5 seconds until the counting display window shows OP-A and the BATCH display windows shows one digit of the number 00-10. Press the + button to select OP-C in the counting display window. Press the button to select IR (Infrared) sensitivity (the higher the number setting, the higher the IR sensitivity). Press the + button to select OP-E in the counting display window. Press the button to select YES or NO as required ( YES activates the auto feed function and NO for manual feed). For manual feed mode, the machine will only start counting by pressing the RESTART button after placing bills in the feeding hopper. 5. Size Detection Hold RESTART button for 5 seconds until the counting display window shows OP-A and the BATCH display window shows one digit of the number 00-10. Press the + button to select OP-D in the counting display window. Press the button to select YES or NO as required ( YES activates the size detection function and NO for off). 6. Suspicious Bill Inclusion To set whether or not a suspicious bill is included in a count, hold RESTART for 5 seconds until the counting display window shows OP-A and the BATCH display window shows one digit of the number 00-10. Press the + button to select OP-D in the counting display window. Press the button to select YES or NO as required ( YES activates the counting function while detecting a dubious bill and NO for off). 7

ERROR MESSAGE AND SOLUTION The BATCH display may show some error message when counting, which means there are some problems with the machine or the presence of a suspicious bill. Refer to the following diagram for solutions: Generally speaking most errors mentioned below may be caused by dust or dirt inside of the machine. Keeping the machine clean is highly recommended. 8

HOPPER ADJUSTMENT When improper feeding of bills occur, adjust the bill thickness in the hopper by turning the bill adjustment screw located in the back of the machine to ensure proper feeding. Turn it right to decrease the thickness (see figure 4) Turn it left to increase the thickness (see figure 5) 9
