In order to ensure compliance with the Product Safety, FCC and CE marking requirements, you must use the power supply, power cord, and interface cable which were shipped with this product or which meet the following parameters: Power Supply UL Listed power supply with standard 60Hz-50Hz, 100-240VAC input and 24VDC output equipped with AC line filtering, over-current and short-circuit protection. Use of this product with a power supply other than the Nanoptix Inc. power supply will require you to test the power supply and Nanoptix Inc. printer for FCC and CE mark certification. Communication Interface Cable An approved Nanoptix interface cable must be used with this product. Use of a cable other than Nanoptix approved product will require that you test the cable with the Nanoptix Inc. printer and your system for FCC and CE mark certification. Power Cord A UL listed, detachable power cord must be used. A power cord with Type SVT marking must be used. For applications outside the North America, power cords that meet the particular country s certification and application requirements should be used. Use of a power cord other than described here may result in a violation of safety certifications that is in force in the country of use. 1. Removal of thermal printing mechanism (102092) Tools required Antistatic wrist strap Screw Driver, #2 Phillips Screw Driver, 3/16 Slotted Time required Approximately 10 minutes 1) Disconnect power and USB and make sure that you are grounded using an antistatic wrist strap or equivalent 2) Remove the two (2) cover Screws (100041-1243)

3) Cut the tie wrap (100068-0001), disconnect J600 (paper low harness) and open printer door

4) Remove six (6) screws (100041-1243) holding mechanism bracket (100665) and PCB bracket (100766) 5) Lift Sub assembly up (pay special attention to the paper feed switch as it protrudes through the metal and is at risk of being damaged)

6) Remove the rest of the harnesses including the thermal print head white flat cable 7) Remove mechanism retention screw (100041-0927)

8) Remove mechanism by sliding the mechanism upwards (take special attention not to touch the print head with your hands. Oil and dust can shorten print head life and reduce print quality) 9) Remove grounding harness at the mechanism end
