SMARTSTART Control Module integrates wide range overload, up to 600V AC voltage input, keypad, and automation I/O WHAT IS SMARTSTART? The patented SMARTSTART control module is an integrated, seamless solution that incorporates operator control, superior motor protection, and automation system compatibility in a rugged, compact unit. It offers a wide-range overload and an extensive array of automation and control features that vary between models. Some of these features include emergency shutdown, damper or valve control, status (proof of flow), fault and shutdown, and more. The SMARTSTART module also accepts an incoming voltage range from 200-600V AC. This is true plug and play; no changing transformers, no messing with terminal blocks. HOW DOES SMARTSTART WORK? SMARTSTART takes an active role in protecting your motor by measuring the motor inrush current and using it to gauge a safe operating range for your motor. In this way it intelligently detects if your motor overload isn t set correctly, protects against locked rotor, cycle fault, stall conditions, and more.
