Newsroom Bundles from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, bring the power of to smaller news operations, delivering the full resources of the newsroom to the field, so that producers can get stories to air faster. This gives you the opportunity to engage viewers faster than ever before, with compelling reporting and fully edited, ready-to-air packages. Based on the tight integration between and the EDIUS NLE platform, and a unique and highly optimized hybrid editing workflow, journalists can mix and move low-resolution and high-resolution assets including so-called wild files from citizen journalists across multiple sites, and perform full editing in the field with EDIUS Workgroup, included as standard in all Newsroom configurations. Because proxy files are used extensively and intelligently, there is no need for complex SAN configurations (although you can, of course, scale up at any time). Newsroom Bundles are available in three configurations. Newsroom Express 2 bidirectional I/Os, 600 GB storage (based on K2 Solo 3G portable media server). Supports 15 clients, including 10 proxy editors and 1 high-resolution (up to 50 Mb/s) editor that can be directly connected to the K2 Solo 3G server. Newsroom Pro 4 bidirectional I/Os, 8 TB storage (based on K2 Summit 3G Transmission Client). Supports 15 clients, including 10 proxy editors and 1 high-resolution (up to 50 Mb/s) editor that can be directly connected to the K2 Summit 3G server. Newsroom Elite 4 bidirectional I/Os, 20 TB storage (based on K2 Summit 3G Transmission Client and K2 Central TX shared storage). Supports 20 clients, including 15 proxy editors and up to 4 high-resolution (up to 50 Mb/s) editors which can be directly connected to the K2 Central shared storage. As expected in a newsroom system, playout is driven by a MOS-compliant newsroom computer system (NRCS). The flexibility of this architecture also allows distributed editing environments in which little, if any, raw content is held in central storage.
