Transcription:

GAPS THAT EXIST/COMMENTS: Assignments in a learning module do not display comments box for students in Firefox. When previewing a and the Edit Mode is "Off" the student comment textbox does not appear. When you change Edit Mode to "On" the student comment textbox does appear. Embedded flash video within a learning module does not display in Firefox. Table of Contents becomes visible on navigating through pages when set as hidden. User are able to see Table of Contents even when it is set as hidden in settings. On first accessing the the Table of Contents is correctly hidden, though on navigating through the to an Assignment content item results in the Table of Contents becoming visible. DESIRED FUNCTIONALITY: The page loads, including comment box. The flash video plays. The pages should display without the Table of Contents. WORK AROUND Students can submit comments when submitting assignments by typing their comments in the text submission box, or attach a file from their local computer. Alternatively, they can use Internet Explorer. A workaround is to use a different browser e.g. Internet Explorer to view the flash video. Alternatively, you can place a web link to the external URL or put the flash video in a content folder outside a learning module. When creating an assignment, use the Limit Availability options area to set date and time limits for students to access the assignment. Set the assignment to display on a specific date and time and stop displaying on a specific date and time. Select the Display After and Display until check boxes to enable the date and time selections. Type dates and times in the boxes or use the pop-up Date Selection Calendar and Time Selection Menu to select dates and times.

Students receive overdue notification for all items in learning modules regardless of submission status. All Assessment types created with due dates inside of s send an overdue What's Past Due notification to a student in the Alerts module even when the submission was made before the deadline. A notification also remains in the To Do module suggesting that a submission has not occurred. Assignments Inside Learning Modules that Allows Multiple Attempts Throws Error while Accessing Second Time. It is reported that an error occurs when students want to submit assignment. This issue has to do with multiple submission, if a student is attempting another submission the user gets the error, even though the assignment is set to accept "unlimited" submissions. Class-to-class navigation Class-to-Class navigation generates ERR (When using Classto-Class Navigation to switch between classes that do not have same menu item currently displayed, window with no content is displayed or a page without menu has only "ERR" displayed.) Student Assignment submissions sent before the specified Assignment Due Date should mean no notification being displayed about it in the To Do and Alerts modules Page for submission displayed Move to new course's link You can edit the notification settings by clicking the Global Navigation menu on the top right of the screen and choosing the course site in the Edit Individual Course Settings section. Select the notifications in the Dashboard column that you want to see in the Notifications Dashboard or a course site. Click Submit to save your changes. A workaround is to use a different browser e.g. Internet Explorer. Alternatively, you can set the assignment to only allow a single attempt without forced completion. This means the student can START the same attempt at the assignment as often as they like, but they can only SUBMIT it for grading once. The students will only see the one set of questions even if they go away and come back. Go to My WVU ecampus to view all your courses

Email Notification Instructors do not Receive a Needs Grading Email Notification for Submissions of Assignments that Reside Within Learning Modules Full Grade Center Submitting a Second Save As Draft Attempt does not Update the Grade Center Date Submitted or Saved Column (When students submit a second Save As Draft attempt, the Grade Center Date Submitted or Saved does not update to the time of the second Save.) Groups Sign-up Sheet Only Groups Lead to Access Error (If an instructor creates a Group to be available as a Sign-up Sheet Only and puts a link to the Group in Content (for example), the student is able to click the Sign-Up button and they are added to the Group, but they are presented with a red banner access error rather than a confirmation message. If the instructor puts the Sign-up Sheet in the Groups area, though, when students sign-up, they get a green confirmation that their enrollment is done but the group isn't available) Groups Students able to Create Forums when Instructor Selects Do not Allow Student Group Members to Create Forums. (The student is able to create forums.) The instructor should receive an email notification for both assignment submissions. The time should be updated. A confirmation like the one students see when they sign-up for "sign-up sheet only" groups from the Groups area (Success: You have successfully enrolled in the group. The group space is currently unavailable.) The student should not be able to copy or create forums.

Import Images Attached to Discussion Board Posts are Broken when the Discussion Board is Imported (The discussion board is imported successfully, but its URL is not properly constructed as it still points to the xid of the original images.) Posts The Cancel Button is Disabled when Attempting to Reply to a Post through the My Blackboard Global Navigation Menu. When visiting the Posts area through the My Blackboard Global Navigation Menu, the Cancel button can be disabled upon attempting to reply to a post and on submitting the response an exception error is experienced. Achievements Achievements - Print Certificate Button not Working (Students are unable to print their Achievement certificate from the Criteria page after they've earned the achievement. The Print button is not responsive. ) Blogs Individual Blogs are not Visible to Others and Tutors when not Set as Gradable (Individual blogs are not visible to others and tutors when not set as gradable. When The image URL should be within the course the discussion was imported into. The post should be submitted and the user returned to the Posts area. User should be able to see the questions displayed. A new window opens with the certificate in it All other course members can view and add comments. It is recommended that both the instructor and students reply posts within the Discussion Board area instead of the My Blackboard Global Navigation. Recommend using Firefox 28 and Safari to create tests. Use the Print Certificate button found on the Reward Details overview rather than the one found after clicking one of the Criteria links Visible to instructor through the grade center.

an Individual blog is set up, pages added by the owner of the blog are not visible to other people on the site to comment on, or even the tutors.) Content Editor Content Editor Paste from Word will not Strip Certain Code in Firefox and Chrome (The VTBE/Content Editor in SP14 will not strip certain Microsoft code in Firefox and Chrome, causing two issues surrounding copy/paste from Word 2010. 1. Firefox: Copy/paste from Word into the VTBE does not remove the Word code when using Firefox. 2. Chrome: Copy/paste from Word when the Word doc contains images into the VTBE does not remove the image tags, leaving visible box placeholders where the images should be. Content Editor Paste from Word Issues with Content Editor (Additional invisible XML is added to the Content Editor version 11.1.1039380 when copying text from Microsoft Word and pasting into Blackboard when using Firefox 24, Chrome 30, or Internet Explorer 9 or 10 on a PC.) Content Editor When in Chrome and you Upload a Youtube Mashup Video and Enter Text on the Side of Video the Result is that the Video will not Play Extraneous code should be stripped when copying and pasting from word into the content editor. Additional code should not be added when copying and pasting from word into the content editor. Video plays A workaround only exists to sanitize student data. It WILL NOT work for instructors or admins. In short this will SANITIZE Students posting through the vtbe for discussion boards, journals, wikis, comments, anywhere they can place data into the system via the VTBE it will sanitize out the microsoft code and other data which should not be allowed. Convert file to a text file and then copy and paste. Use another browser.

The header is partly hidden.) Group Assignment Preview Upload Assignment Data Saved to Group Assignment (When an instructor accesses a group assignment it link shows: Preview Upload Assignment: [Assignment Name] You are previewing the assignment - your submission will not be saved. do appear correctly for group members.) Open in new window option is not available when creating learning module files. Learning modules reordering items via drag/drop or Reorder Content places the first item indented to the right. Using with Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 and displaying items in the Learning module. For some reason, it seems that there is a div that is not closed properly in the code that makes it indent the first item when you move it to the first position. Either by Reorder: Content or Drag/Drop. When you go in your course learning module, with IE9 maximized on the screen and if you drag an item to be the first position of the Learning module. The first item is always indented compared to the rests. HTML files uploaded into Learning Module content areas become stretched. When building a new tool link the drop down menu will be double in size and have duplicate entries to choose from. These entries are not harmful as they make the same link no matter what. These duplicates only show up if you are on a Content page. A tool page such as Announcements, Discussion boards, or the Home page of a new course will not exhibit this behavior when you make a new tool link. Needs Grading The Maximize Button in Needs Grading does not Persist to the Next Attempt (When grading using the maximized button and you try to move to the next or previous student, the maximized display is not maintained but its switched back to minimized view) Needs Grading Graded Discussion Board Attempts in Needs Grading Do Not Appear in the Grade History Report (Graded Discussion Board Attempts in Needs Grading Do Not Make an Entry in the Grade History Report) Randomized Groups Randomize Groups Option does not Include Ability to Cancel the Action (After creating randomized Only one set of options be present.
