Preface Purpose Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) runs on the Teradata Appliance for Hadoop. This document provides an overview of HDP and its requirements. It also includes resolved issues, helpful hints, and information on how to contact Teradata Customer Support. Chapter 1 Release Information Open Issues Open Issues The following table lists JIRA numbers for unresolved issues. Issue APE-3308 Description If Hbase service is running and hdfs fsck is executed, fsck reports corrupt status and Ambari does not: hdfs fsck command reports: "The filesystem under path '/' is CORRUPT" Ambari HDFS overview page reports: "0 corrupt / 0 missing / 0 under replicated" To verify that the CORRUPT status report from fsck is a false alarm: 1. Run the hdfs fsck command with the option -listcorruptfileblocks 2. Verify the command returns: 'The filesystem under path '/' has 0 CORRUPT files' APE-3596 APE-3194 APE-3401 APE-3508 APE-3463 APE-3528 APE-3489 APE-3309 If cluster name is changed, Ambari reports a 500 status code error, Ambari/ Tez Views shows a blank page, and YARN Queue Manager displays "Couldn't connect to server." Recover by restarting Ambari server with ambari-server restart. Falcon service fails intermittently after system start or restart. Start failed Falcon service in Ambari. WebHCat/Hive service fails intermittently after system start or restart. Start failed WebHCat service in Ambari. While enabling Kerberos, Oozie service check fails intermittently. Service check works properly after one hour. While enabling Kerberos, Mahout service check fails intermittently. Service check works properly after one hour. If Kerberos is enabled, Ambari Metrics service check fails intermittently. If Kerberos is enabled, applications cannot be submitted to YARN from LAN, only from an internal client.
