Getting Started The MPF-1 provides outstanding performance in a robust design, offering superior protection against abnormal power circuit conditions. The carton should contain: The Tone Control Labs MPF-1 Mains Power Filter Power Plug and Cable for input Power Socket and Cable for output Welcome card Operating Features: Voltage Spike/Surge Protection, interference from atmospheric discharges and line surges; Filter Noise generated from other equipment on the mains power line; Filter EMI/RFI coupled to mains power lines. If an item is missing or damaged, report this to your dealer as soon as possible. Retain the packing for safe transport of your unit. If you dispose of the packing, do so with regard to any recycling regulations in your area. Placement Place the unit on a sturdy shelf or table, on the floor or a rack. If you use an equipment rack, ensure the unit has adequate ventilation.
Input / Output Panel Features 3 Fuse 4/7 The MPF-1 will accommodate both 120 and 230/240 VAC sources. The 5 Amp slow-blow fuse supplied with the unit is designed to protect your unit and output connections against damage from either voltage source. To remove the fuse, disconnect the AC input power cable and rotate this connector in the anti-clockwise direction. Replace the blown fuse with a slow-blow T5A 250V, 5x20mm. 1 Power Switch Push this switch vertically to the (I) position to apply power to the unit. There is no light/visual indicator in order to save energy. 2 Input Cable The MPF-1 is supplied with a non-detachable three conductor cable and local standard compatible connector. Never disconnect the earth pin of the AC line cable/connector as this is for your protection as the devices connected to the output of the MPF-1. 4 Output Cable The MPF-1 is supplied with a non-detachable three conductor cable and local standard compatible connector. Warranty 6/7 Tone Control Labs Tone Control Labs (TCL) warrants this product against any defects in material or workmanship for a period of two years from the original date of purchase. Should you experience any difficulty with this TCL product, please contact us as described below. If it is determined that the product has become defective within the warranty period and must be returned to the factory, TCL will issue a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping and packaging instructions.
