DSEWebNet PC Internet Browser Software Manual 1 INTRODUCTION This manual covers the registration and operation of the DSEWebNet Software for DSE modules. This is not a controlled document. There are no automatic notifications of changes to this manual. Any future updates of this document are included on the DSE website: www.deepseaplc.com Separate manuals cover the DSE modules supported by the software which can be downloaded from our website: www.deepseaplc.com The DSEWebNet Software in conjunction with the DSE890 & DSE891 Gateway Device allows the user to remote monitor and control a wide range of modules via a supported internet browser. The DSEWebNet Software must only be used by competent, qualified personnel, as operating the system may have safety implications on the panel / generating set to which it is fitted. The information contained in this manual must be read in conjunction with the information contained in the appropriate module documentation. Getting Started 3 GETTING STARTED Launch a compatible internet browser and navigate to the website: www.dsewebnet.com to access the DSEWebNet Software. 3.1 REGISTERING AN ACCOUNT 3.1.1 ACCOUNT TYPES AND USES 3.1.1.1 USER ACCOUNT A User Account is a quick and simple way for a single user to start and take control of DSE devices remotely. A User Account is best suited to those who: Only have a small number of DSE devices to monitor Do not require all the additional features of the Organisation Account Needs to be registered under an Organisation Account to restrict their access. 3.1.1.2 ORGANISATION ACCOUNT An Organisation Account is a simple way for an organisation or company manager to start and take control of DSE devices. An Organisation Account is best suited to an organisation or company who: Have a single user who wants to gain additional features. Have a number of DSE devices to monitor. Want to create access permissions to limit access for certain User Accounts registered to the organisation. In addition to access permissions, an Organisation Account has the ability to use the following features: Geofencing Geotracking Customisable graphical user interface Configurable module and site names 057-168 ISSUE: 5 Page 10 of 116

Getting Started 3.2 LOGGING IN NOTE: To log in to the DSEWebNet, a user account is required. To register an account, refer to the section Registering an Account elsewhere in this document. Launch a compatible internet browser and navigate to the website: www.dsewebnet.com to access the DSEWebNet Software. To login, type the registered account details into the Account Login section. This is located on the left hand side of the webpage. Enter user account details to login. Field Username Password Remember login details Reset Password Description Enter the username of the registered account NOTE: This field is CASE SENSITIVE Enter the password of the registered account NOTE: Enabling this option requires the use of cookies, contact the IT department if in doubt. = The user has to manually enter the account details every time. = The user s account details are remembered on the PC and automatically entered upon the webpage loading. Forget: Click to forget the remembered username and password. NOTE: If the password retrieval email is not received, check the email s junk or spam email folder. To retrieve a forgotten or lost password, click the Forgotten password? link. Enter the username of the account and click continue. Getting Started 3.2.1 MAXIMUM FAILED LOGIN ATTEMPTS EXCEEDED If the user s password is entered incorrectly three times, the account is locked and the password must be reset. To reset the user s password, click on the Reset Password option in the Account Login section located on the left hand side of the webpage. This sends a new password to the registered email address for that account. If the reset password email is not received, check the email s junk or spam email folder. Getting Started 3.3 CONFIGURING THE SYSTEM 3.3.1 ADDING OR REMOVING A SITE (DSEGATEWAY) NOTE: To add a DSEGateway to the DSEWebNet, the DSEGateway MUST have been connected to the configured DSE Controllers and the internet by an Ethernet or GPRS/GSM connection at least once. Upon first login, the user is presented with a blank account with no DSEGateway Devices configured. To add or remove a DSEGateway to the account, click on Add or Remove Set located on the left hand side of the webpage. A pop-up box then appears. Click to add or remove a DSE module to the DSEWebNet 057-168 ISSUE: 5 Page 18 of 116

Getting Started NOTE: For information with regards to the set up of the DSEGateway, refer to DSE Publication: 057-165 DSE890 & DSE891 Gateway Operators Manual located on the DSE website: www.deepseaplc.com To add or remove a DSEGateway to the user s account, the Gateway Device ID and Security Code are required. This information is located in the DSEGateway configuration screens. The Gateway Device ID is located under the Status Info section of the DSEGateway configuration. Exit without saving Click to continue The Security Code is located under the Gateway Setup section of the DSEGateway configuration. If the DSEGateway being added to the user account has not been connected to the internet at least once, the below error message appears. Getting Started 3.3.2 ADDING OR REMOVING A DSE CONTROLLER FROM A SITE NOTE: For more information, refer to DSE publication: 057-151 DSE Configuration Suite PC Software Installation & Operation Manual located on our website: www.deepseaplc.com DSE controllers available to be added to the DSEWebNet are displayed under the Available Sets section. To identify the DSE controller, the DSEWebNet uses the controller s Gen Set ID, USB ID or Configured DSEWebNet ID depending on what is available. DSE controller(s) that are, or have been connected to the DSEGateway DSE controllers currently active on the DSEWebNet Exit without saving An example of a DSE controller using the USB ID as the identifier An example of a DSE controller using the Gen Set ID or Configured DSEWebNet ID as the identifier Adds the highlighted DSE controller(s) in the Available Sets section to the DSEWebNet Save the changes that have made Removes the highlighted DSE controller(s) in the Acquired Sets section from the DSEWebNet The DSE controller s Gen Set ID is found using the DSE Configuration Suite PC Software. Refer to the DSE Controller s Software Manual for further details. The DSE controller s Configured DSEWebNet Site/Set Alias is found using the Admin section of the DSEWebNet. Refer to the section entitled Admin elsewhere in this manual for further details. 4 OPERATING DSEWEBNET 4.1 SYSTEM OVERVIEW The image below shows an example of a DSEWebNet system monitoring three different sites with multiple generators connected to each one. See subsequent sections for more details on the features highlighted below. NOTE: Depending which System View Level the user has selected, certain areas of the webpage layout change. 4.2 LANGUAGE SELECTION Multiple languages may be selected when using the DSEWebNet. The languages available are set by the User Account and Organisation settings. The language to the left is the one currently selected. Click to change. Two Language Selection options are available. These are dependent upon the User Account and Organisation settings. See section entitled Configuration Edit elsewhere in this document. 4.3 CONFIGURATION MODE NOTE: Depending upon access restrictions set by the Organisation Administrator, some options and sections may not be accessable by the user. 4.3.2 REPORTS NOTE: A Report only operates if the DSE Controller supports the instrument and related alarms selected. Refer to the DSE Controller s Operators Manual for further details. NOTE: A Report only displays the previous months worth of data at a maximum. It is possible to configure the DSEWebNet to send an email containing a report on a certain DSE Controller s instruments or events automatically at configurable intervals. Reports are configured per user account only. NOTE: For information with regards to the set up of the DSEGateway, refer to DSE Publication: 057-165 DSE890 & DSE891 Gateway Operators Manual located on the DSE website: www.deepseaplc.com The data used to create a report is uploaded to the DSEWebNet server at an interval configured in the DSEGateway. If the Historic Upload Interval has been disabled, the Reports do not contain any information. The resolution of the data used in the Reports is also configured in the DSEGateway. The method used to populate the Reports with data changes depending up the Data Resolution configured. When set to High, Medium or Low, data is only uploaded and reported if it has changed since the last upload. For example, if the fuel level of a generator does not change, no information is uploaded leading to an empty report. When set to Snapshot, data is only uploaded and reported even if it has not changed since the last upload. To create a new report, select the DSE Controller from the table on the left hand side of the webpage and click New Report. To run, editor or delete an existing report, select the report from the table in the middle of the webpage and click the appropriate option. The Rich Site Summary (RSS) Feed allows the user to easily view incoming events from all the Sites configured using a variety of different methods. The RSS Feed section is entered by clicking on the RSS Feed icon in the top right hand corner of the webpage. A new webpage is opened with the RSS feed as shown in the below image. The Page Editor Mode allows the user to edit the graphical user interface of the DSE Controller View Level by adding, editing and removing pages and the information displayed on them. The Page Editor Mode is entered by clicking on the padlock the webpage when under the DSE Controller View Level. icon in the top right hand corner of When the Page Editor Mode is entered, the padlock icon in the top right hand corner of the webpage unlocks. To exit the Page Editor Mode, click the unlocked padlock in the top right hand corner of the webpage. The webpage then refreshes so that the changes made take effect. 4.6.1 ADDING, EDITING & DELETING PAGES When adding a DSE Controller to the DSEWebNet, a number of pages are provided by default. The pages provided by default differ depending upon the DSE Controller. Users can remove these default pages and replace them with new pages that are more appropriate to their needs. Click the pencil icon to edit an existing page, a popup box then appears. Click the cross icon to delete the page. Click the plus icon to add a new page, a popup box then appears Click the eye icon to hide the existing page. The Alarms page cannot be deleted, edited or hidden. When adding or editing a page, the below pop-up box appears. 4.6.1.1 ADDING & REMOVING SUBPAGES Users can create Subpages to expand the Pages that already exist. This is required due to space limitations on the screen and the requirement to keep the additional information in the same section. An example of this could be to add additional engine CANbus parameters to the Engine page and create a subpage due to space limitation. Whilst viewing the last Subpage, click to remove it. 4.6.2 WIDGET SELECTION The Widget Selection tool enables the user to add, edit or delete these control buttons from the DSEWebNet to suit their application. Select the type of widget to be created. 4.11.3.7 VIEWING HISTORIC DATA GRAPH NOTE: To use the Historic Data Graph feature, the DSEGateway device must be configured to upload historic data at a suitable interval as shown below.
