SLES 10 SP1 Release spring of 2007 domu kernel version 2.6.16 Xen version? dom0 kernel version? 19

SLES 10 SP1 Release Issues SLES kernel versions do not change between major releases SLES 10 will stay at 2.6.16 for the life of the product Xen is moving forward at a very fast pace dom0 kernel and Xen hypervisor are a matched set dom0 tools are dependent on the kernel/hypervisor versions 20

SLES 10 SP1 Release Issues How do we satisfy the customer demand for Xen updates? Until the rate of innovation slows down a bit, what seen and unforseen technology advances will break backward/forward compatibility? How will we address those issues? What can we do now to minimize the impact? We don't know all the questions let alone the answers. We need the Xen community to look seriously at these issues and treat them as a community issue not just a distro problem. 21
