Home Screen The Home Screen provides a nice dashboard view of your library. This screen can be customized based on your personal preferences. 5 5 Use the My Quick Links pane to customize links to your most commonly used resources. Click on Edit in the upper right corner to Add Links or Organize Links. Use the Newsletters pane to access Newsletters in the Table of Contents. Use the Editorial Materials pane to link to Pension & Benefits analysis from RIA, EBIA, PPC & WG&L authors. Use the Search Tools pane to access customized Find by Citation search templates to find targeted documents. Use the Assistance Self Service, Support & Product Training pane to link to the Product Training & Support websites.

Document Screen Context Panel: The black vertical toolbar on the right is called the Context Panel, which provides different tabs for easy navigation. Use the Contents tab to see where the displayed document is located in the Table of Contents and for easy navigation. Displayed document is highlighted in purple. Document Icons Use the Document Icons in the upper left corner of any document to Print, Export, Email, Flag, Highlight Text, Add Notes and Save your research.
Search Screen Perform a keyword search using Checkpoint Intuitive Search or Terms & Connectors: Intuitive Search identifies sentences, terms & connectors or citations to interpret your query; it takes advantage of historical usage data, editorial expertise and keyword matching to bring back the most relevant results, including relevant variations of your terms. Terms & Connectors is best used when you know the exact terms you re looking for and want to restrict your results to an exact match; use connectors to define the relationship between terms. To perform a keyword search, Enter Keywords in the search field then select the radio button for the type of search you want: Intuitive Search or Terms & Connectors. Choose Sources to include in your search. Hover over a source and use the Book icon particular source in the Table of Contents in a separate window. to pull up that Use the Thesaurus / Query Tool to help filter a keyword. Choose from Connectors to narrow your search, select from a list of previous keywords, or use the Restrictions tab to identify keywords you want to Require or Exclude from the search. Click Search. 5
Search Results Search results are displayed based on your Search Result Default View. You can choose between All Documents, Source List, Table of Contents or Use Last. Set Default allows you to choose how your search results are displayed right from the search results screen. The Green Stars indicate sources that contain the most relevant documents. Note: The default view for new users will be Source List. For existing users the default view will be what they have currently set. 6

Use the orange arrows next to the Navigation menu to Navigate by: Best takes you to the Best section of text within the document, indicated by green text Keyword takes you to the next instance of your keyword(s) Document pulls up the next search result document Contents pulls up the next document as it appears in the Table of Contents The Search Results tab in the Context Panel provides you with a list of search results for the selected source. This allows easy navigation through the search results. This tab is available only when you have navigated to the article from the Search screen and not from Table of Contents. 7
Find by Citation Citation Search Templates: Use Find by Citation search templates to target specific information. Click More to see additional templates. Top Line Links & Side Line Links: Top Line Links Side Line Links Top Line Link buttons and Side Line Link buttons to display links to related documents in the Links tab. 8
News Screen RIA Daily Updates: Click Set Display/E-mail Preferences to set up automatic email delivery of your EBIA Weekly. EBIA Weekly: Go to Set Display/E-mail Preferences to set up automatically email delivery of your EBIA Weekly and other newsletters. Use News Service dropdown to view a different newsletter. Use the Outline to jump to updates in the EBIA Weekly including the Question of the Week, which provides a question and answer from EBIA editors on hot topics or gray areas. 9
