Dialing a phone number Dial the number and press the Green Phone Key How to make a call using contacts From the Main menu, choose Contacts, and then press the OK key. Choose the contact you want to call and then press the Green phone key. The default number is dialed. If you want to call a contact and use another number than the default number, do the following: In the Main menu, choose Contacts and then press the OK key. Choose the contact you want to call and then press the OK key. Choose a number from the list and then press the Green phone key. How to make a call using the call log In Idle mode, press the Call log soft key or choose Call log from the Main menu and then press the OK key. Choose the number you want to call and then press the Green phone key. How to make a call using redial Press the Options soft key, choose Redial and then press the OK key. The most recently dialed number is displayed. Press the Green phone key to call the number. Accepting an Incoming call Pick up the handset and then press the Green phone key. Denying/ blocking a call Pick up the handset and then press the Options key and select Reject. Hold and resume To switch between calls, you have to press the hold key. The call is put on hold. To retrieve the call press the Options key, then select 4

Retrieve Call and press the OK key or just press the Red Phone key. Multiple Call handling To make another call you have to put the first party on hold, and then just dial the number of the second party as you would normally dial a number. By pressing the Options key you then can alternate between the two calls. Transfer Direct Transfer To transfer the call unattended to another party press the Hold key. Press the Options key, then select Transfer and press the OK key. Enter the extension number and press the OK key. The call is transferred to the third party extension. Transfer to Voicemail To transfer the call directly to another partys voicemail press the Hold key. Press the Options key, then select Transfer and press the OK key. Enter 8 + the extension number and press the OK key Consultation Transfer To announce the call before transferring to another party. Put the first caller on hold. Then dial the extension number. If the third party wants to talk to the first caller, press the Options key select Transfer and press OK. Call Parking During a call in progress, put the connected party on hold by pressing the line key Hold, press *85. You will hear a message informing you that the call has been parked. Pick up Parked Call Dial *86. (If more than one call parked system will select which call to pick up). 5

Pick up Specific Parked Call Dial *86 and the park orbit number. (The extension number of the user that parked the call) Call Pick Up To answer a call ringing at another extension Press *87 Conference To make another call you have to put the first party on hold, and then just dial the number of the second party as you would normally dial a number. By pressing the Options key and select conference. Mute / Un-mute While on a call press the Mute key, press again to un-mute. Adjusting the volume Use the volume button on the side of the handset. Call Diversion To divert you calls to another extension or external number. Dial *71 and follow prompt. Enter the number where you wish to divert your calls to and press #. To deactivate the call forward dial *72. DND (Do Not Disturb) To activate DND, dial *78 To de-activate DND, dial *79 6

Phone book The Snom M3 contains an internal phone book that can be accessed from the phone s idle state by pressing OK Key Adding an entry From the Main Menu Select Contacts Select Add Contact With Name highlighted press OK and enter name using keypad (select options to change the input mode) Press OK Highlight number you wish to add, Home, mobile, work or other, press OK and enter number. Press Save Press Yes Editing an entry From the Main Menu Select Contacts Select the entry to edit Select Edit Contact Deleting an entry From the Main Menu Select Contacts Select the entry to edit Select Delete Contact Accessing Call Logs From the Main Menu Select Call Logs Press the OK Key Use the navigation key to select All, Missed, Incoming or outgoing Select the entry in the log 7

Setting up your Voicemail Press *97 If it is the 1 st time you are accessing your mailbox, you will be prompted to record your name. Follow the prompts. - Select Option 1 to listen to your messages. - Select Option 2 to change your access code and press # to save. - Select Option 3 to record your name and press # to save. - Select Option 4 to record your personal greeting and press # to save. When messages are left in your mail box a message will be displayed and an envelope icon will be displayed on the screen. To access your messages *97 While listening to voicemail messages: Dial 1 to rewind the message Dial 2 to stop play back Dial 3 to fast forward. Dial 4 to repeat the message Dial 5 to hear the message details Dial 6 to send the message to another mailbox Dial 7 to delete the message Dial 8 to return the call (if caller withheld their number this will not work) Dial 9 to save the message. Locking the keypad - The keypad on a Snom M3 handset can be locked by pressing and holding the button then pressing the Lock button displayed on the screen. - To unlock the keypad, press and hold the button the press the unlock button displayed on the screen. 8

Call intrusion: Note: Permission must be assigned by the system administrator in order to use this feature. The call intrusion features enables an extension to listen in to another extensions conversation provided they have been assigned permission to do so. There are three modes. 1. Call Barge-In: Is this mode a tone will be played to both parties to indicate that someone has barged into the conversation. Both parties will be able to hear the user that has barged in. 2. Call Tech Mode: In this mode only the extension on the PBX is made aware that someone has barged into the conversation. The user joining the call can speak to the extension user with out the 3 rd party being aware. 3. Listen In Mode: Neither party in the conversation is aware that another user is listening and neither party can hear the user that has barged in. To Barge into another extensions call dial *81+extension number and press To Barge in using Tech Mode, dial *82+extension number and press To Barge in using Listen In Mode, dial *83+extension number and press 9
