Schick WiFi Install steps: 1. Install WiFi Utility The fllwing screen will appear when the CD is aut ran. a. Click n Install WiFi Cnfiguratin Utility. i. If they d nt have the CD the sftware can be dwnladed frm Schick s website at the fllwing address: http://www.schicktech.cm/items.php?itemid=11571 ii. Extract the files and run the WiFi Cnfiguratin Utility Setup (.msi, Windws Installer Package) b. Chse Run. c. Chse Next. d. Leave the default path t C:\Prgram Files\Schick Technlgies\Schick WiFi\ and click Next (path will be C:\Prgram Files (x86)\schick Technlgies\Schick WiFi\ if yu are installing n a 64 bit system)
e. Chse Next. f. Chse Next. g. Once the install is cmplete, chse Clse. 2. Install WiFi Sftware a. Chse Install Schick WiFi Sftware.
b. If they dwnladed the disk, duble click n Schick Wifi Setup (.exe, Applicatin). c. Chse Run. d. Chse Next. e. Chse Install. f. Once cmplete, chse finish. 3. Cnnect the Dcking Statin t the PC via USB (pwer supply is required fr the PC t recgnize it). It shuld aut install as a USB Serial Prt.
4. Place Interface (AKA PAT) in the dcking statin. 5. Open the Wifi Cnfiguratin Utility (Start, Prgrams, Schick Technlgies Inc, Schick WiFi, WiFi Cnfiguratin Utility).
6. Select the netwrk and press cnnect after entering the passwrd. Cnfirm OK and OK t finish. This may take a while as it is btaining an IP address fr DHCP. i. If they need t use a Static IP- Uncheck the Dynamic bx and enter the IP yu want t use and the subnet befre hitting Cnnect. 7. Repeat steps 1-4 fr each wrkstatin. Repeat step 5 and step 6 fr each interface they have in the ffice. Manual PAIRING: WiFi Mnitr is in the system tray. If it gets clsed, yu can repen it frm the Startup menu (Start, Prgrams, Startup, Wireless Mnitr). Right click n the mnitr and yu have tw ptins. WiFi management Shws available interfaces and allws yu t select ne t pair. WiFi Interface Status
Shws the Signal, SN f sensr cnnected and the battery status. Sensrs will autmatically un-pair if they are turned ff. The default pwer dwn is 15 minutes. This can be changed thrugh the HTML Status page. Yu cannt pair an Interface t anther pc if it is already paired. Yu must first un-pair it frm the previus pc. Single Wrkstatin users can check a bx (Autmatically re-pair SN ) if they nly have the ne interface and the ne wrkstatin. This way, it eliminates them having t pair. As sn as the interface is turned n, it autmatically pairs. Schick WiFi des wrk with aut-detect fr ffices with a mixture f Schick equipment. RFID Pairing: Lks like a flash drive. Shws in device manager as Smart Card Reader Swipe the Interface (has a tag) against the RFID Fr nw yu still have t manually un-pair r pwer ff the Interface Yu d nt have t un-pair t pair a new Interface. They are wrking n a service release t swipe t un-pair. We will let yu knw if/when that takes place. RESEND Optin: The Interface has internal memry. It will stre the last image taken as lng as yu have nt discnnected the sensr. Open the WiFi Interface Status. Click Optins- Resend. Yu can change the image preprcessing filters befre yu d this! If yu discnnect the sensr frm the interface and recnnect and try t resend, it will give yu a white image (and als warn yu that yu will be getting a white image). WiFi Cnfiguratin Utility- Extras: Get Lg File Tells yu the firmware (right nw it shuld be 246)
It gives yu errr lgs Yu can save the lg when it is pened smewhere. This is very helpful! Test Wrkstatin Reset WiFi Settings If yu can t get an Interface t pair r an IP cnflict is taking place, yu can use this t restre it t factry defaults. Yu then have t set that Interface back up n the netwrk and assign it an IP address. Uses HTML fr diagnstics, status and firmware upgrades: Open Internet Explrer and type in http://ip f the interface/status (fr example http://192.168.1.100/status) Different tabs available fr different ptins. Status Gives yu sftware versins, serial number, etc. Diagnstic Tab Interface and Sensr tests (patterns) are nt yet wrking. Bandwidth test IS wrking! Fewer than 5 mb/s can be reasn fr issues with pairing, data transfer, image speeds, etc. REMEMBER: the higher the amunt f radiatin, the larger the image size will be, thus it will take lnger fr thse images t appear. Settings Tab Setup user friendly name. This is nt really recmmended. This is where yu change the pwer time ut (default is 15).
Firmware Upgrade We n lnger have t wait fr driver releases fr firmware t be upgradable. Yu will be able t brwse t a file t upgrade firmware, fpga, etc. AIMRIGHT New psitining system fr Elite sensrs. (Red Ring) Fail prf (yu cannt put a hlder in the wrng slt! If it is a hrizntal bitewing hlder, it will nly g in the slt fr hrizntal bitewings) There is als an AIMRIGHT universal ring that will wrk with Phenix and Elites. (This ne is White)
