Has yur Service Ready Date passed? DSL service is nt available until Verizn Online activates yur line. 2. Is the Pwer light illuminated? Light is green: The DSL gateway pwer is n. G t Step 3. Light is ff: The VersaLink pwer light is ff. 3. Are any Ethernet lights illuminated (E1, E2, E3, r E4)? Light fr the prt where a cable is cnnected is green: The Ethernet cnnectin between the gateway and yur cmputer is established. G t Step 4. Light fr the prt where a cable is cnnected is ff: N link is established between the DSL gateway and yur cmputer. 4. Is the DSL light illuminated? Light is green: The cnnectin between the DSL gateway and Verizn Online is established. G t Step 5. Light is ff: The link between the DSL and Verizn Online is nt cnnected. 5. Discnnect all netwrked cmputers and restart the main cmputer. Recnnect the ther cmputers ne-by-ne t lcate the prblem. 6. Verizn Online What is the Service Ready Date? The Service Ready Date is the day yur DSL signal is activated n yur telephne line. When yur DSL rder is cmplete, Verizn Bradband infrms yu f the date yur service is ready. Please wait fr the Service Ready Date befre installing the DSL sftware. Verizn Online Pwer Light Is Off 1. Verify that the pwer switch is in the n psitin. 2. If the Pwer light is still nt green, verify the cnnectin between the pwer crd and the back f the DSL gateway. Verizn Online Light fr the Prt Where the Ethernet Cable Is Cnnected Is Off 1. Discnnect and recnnect the Ethernet cable t the Ethernet prt n the back f yur cmputer. 2. If the Ethernet light is still ff, plug the yellw Ethernet cable int a different available Ethernet prt. 3. If the Ethernet light is still ff, verify that yu plugged the ther end f the Ethernet cable securely int the Netwrk Interface Card (NIC). 4. Verizn Online DSL Light Is Off 1. Verify that yur phne line cnnectin t the DSL prt f the gateway is secure. 2. If the light is still ff, verify that a DSL filter is installed between all telephne equipment and the telephne line. The Line side f the DSL filter shuld be cnnected t the telephne line, while the Phne side f the DSL filter shuld be cnnected t the telephne equipment. 3. Verizn Online Identify Netwrk Adaptr Prblems Using Device Manager 1. Right-click the My Cmputer icn n the desktp. 2. Select Prperties frm the menu. The System Prperties windw appears. 3. Select the Hardware tab. 4. Select Device Manager. The Device Manager appears. 5. Expand Netwrk Adaptrs by clicking n the plus (+) sign.
