The scalable S-920N-C Class 100 Cleanroom series is specifically designed for applications that are sensitive to contamination by submicron-sized particles, such as wafer-level packaging. The S-920N-C system is equipped with a stainless steel enclosure. Its high-flex electrical cables are enclosed in a cleanroom-certified jacket that reduces particulation and outgassing. The ULPA filter provides a downward particle-free air column within the dispense area. All pneumatic valves are exhausted to a duct for connection to house vacuum to avoid particle emissions into the cleanroom. Scalability. With its flexible, scalable configuration, the S-920N-C can be configured with single or dual lanes, and up to six heat stations with the dual lane configuration. The S-920N-C maximizes use of floor space it is 600 mm wide (without the optional pre- and post-heat stations), half the width of other dispensers on the market. Advanced Process Control. The S-920N-C reduces process variation, increases yield, and reduces cost. Software-managed temperature, fluid and air pressure provide closed-loop control that eliminates the need for operator adjustment. Calibrated Process Jetting (CPJ) automatically maintains volumetric repeatability during long production runs, while Controlled Process Heat (CpH ) adds recipe-controlled heat management for improved thermal efficiency. The Spectrum s digital vision system with dual-color, adjustable on-axis lighting offers fast and reliable image acquisition for increased throughput. Adding the Fids-on-the-Fly option accelerates fiducial capture, and laser height sensing further reduces time spent on non-dispense routines. Jet Technology. Patented non-contact jetting offers many advantages over traditional needle dispensing, jetting precise volumes of fluid in dots, lines and patterns with flow rates up to 500 mg/second and 200 dots/second. Lower Your Cost of Ownership The Spectrum S-920N-C series lowers cost of ownership with: A smaller footprint frame Flow-rate monitoring to minimize material waste and increase process yield Tight temperature control using software-managed jet/needle heaters Fast non-contact jetting Dual lane conveyors (S-922N-C) for higher throughput or feeding a dual-lane placement system without need of a shuttle Key Features for Enhanced Throughput and Process Control Cleanroom Class 100 Certified: The S-920N-C system is ideal for wafer-level jetting applications that are sensitive to contamination by sub-micron sized particles. The stainless steel exterior has a passivated finish for easy wipe-down, and a USB port on the front panel makes program upload and log file download quick and easy. A standalone workcell configuration with a CHAD bare wafer handler is available for fully automated processing. Programmable Fluid and Valve Pressure: Fluid and valve pressure values are set in the FmXP program, eliminating errors associated with manual adjustments during operation. Software-controlled pressure set points provide closed-loop process control and better traceability with log file capture. Electro-pneumatic regulators control valve, fluid, and cooling/coax pressures. Pressure values are set in FmXP software and monitored directly from the computer screen. Gauges are removed from the front panel. Complete recipes (including conveyor, heater and air pressure settings) are easily copied to other S-920N systems within the factory and around the world. Fids-on-the-Fly : The Fids-on-the-Fly option is up to 5.5 times faster than the traditional stop-andcapture method for locating fiducials and can increase UPH (units per hour) as much as 35 percent. Tests were run on a variety of parts with a varied number of fiducials. Fids-on-Fly is 2 to 5.5 times faster than the stop-and capture method. The more fiducials required, the greater the time savings.
