2 Delete a Delivery Unit You can use the SAP HANA Application Lifecycle Management to delete a delivery unit (DU) including its objects and packages. Prerequisites To delete a DU with the SAP HANA Application Lifecycle Management, you must ensure the following prerequisites are met: You have access to an SAP HANA system. You have been granted the SAP HANAsap.hana.xs.lm.roles::Administrator user role. Context You can delete a DU including its objects and packages. Alternatively, you can delete the DU without deleting its objects and packages (only the metadata of a DU are deleted). Before you delete a delivery unit, consider that the system does not perform any checks for the DU, such as: Check whether the DU is part of a product instance. Check whether the DU is used productively. You must manually make sure that deleting the DU does not have any negative impact. Note If you usehdbalm, you can use thehdbalm du command with one of the following options: -hdbalm du undeploy <du name> <du vendor>: used to delete the DU including objects and packages - hdbalm du delete <du name> <du vendor>: used to delete the DU without objects and packages (only the metadata of the DU) For more information, see hdbalm du Command.
