Specifications for Static and Dynamic Structural Testing System ANNEXURE-1 S No. Particulars Technical Requirement 1 Servo-hydraulic Actuators 1. Application: Static, Dynamic and Fatigue 2. Quantity: 2 Nos. 3. Capacity: Dynamic +/- 500kN; 4. Stroke: +/- 125mm (250mm total) 5. Type: Double acting fatigue rated actuator with load cell and built in LVDT. 6. Swivel Ends: Base and Head swivel assembly suitable for actuators to conduct tension, compression and thro-zero cyclic load test with no free play. 7. Servo valves: 56 lpm or better (two valves on each actuator, Moog make) to achieve the required load and speed of actuator. 8. Load Cell: Static capacity 630kN and dynamic capacity 500kN (fatigue rated not less than 1 million cycles, Class 0.5% or better). Calibration certificate in-house and third party to be provided in both Tension and Compression mode. Sensitivity: 2-3mV/V or better. Detailed technical specifications to be provided. 9. System Software: System software to configure the controller, interface to test station, to define, save and execute test procedure, access to test information from any web-enabled, internet-connected device, etc. Detail specification with its application features to be provided. 4 Application Software Requirement: Multipurpose test suite to graphically build and run monotonic and cyclic test, acquisition of data, generation of signal (sine, haversine, square, triangle, random, earthquake time history development and generation, etc.), trigger, data export, report generation, etc. Details of software and its features to be provided.

Specifications for Static and Dynamic Structural Testing System Additional Requirements and Terms of Conditions S No. Particulars Technical Requirement 1 System Performance Requirement ANNEXURE-2 A Servo-hydraulic system comprising of: 1. +/- 500kN actuator with travel +/- 125mm (2 Nos.) 2. 56lpm or better Moog Servo Valve (2 Nos. on each actuator) 3. 200-300 lpm Hydraulic Power Unit (1 No.) should meet the following performance (minimum or better): 1. 400kN, 00.1 Hz Frequency, +/- 120mm 2. 400kN, 01.0 Hz Frequency, +/- 20mm 3. 400kN, 10.0 Hz Frequency, +/- 2mm Overall system performance curve to be provided with the details of each component in the system. 2 Installation and Commissioning The vendor should take full responsibility for supply, installation and commissioning of the structural testing system in Heavy Structures Laboratory of Civil Engineering Department and performance of the system demonstrated to the satisfaction of the users. Necessary fittings and fixtures required for the installation of structural testing system to the reaction frame will be in the scope of the vendor. 3 Maintenance and service support of system during and after the warranty period 1. The vendor should have competent and reliable service network in India for quick and necessary repair and maintenance of the equipment. 2. The vendor should provide the list of users of similar equipment (viz. IITs, NITs, etc.) along with their contact details. 3. Details of the nature of service support the vendor can provide should be given along with the proposal.

4. Warranty should be for at least three years (3 years) after installation. 5. The vendor should commit to provide maintenance service and supply necessary spares for the equipment for at least 15 years after successful installation and commissioning. 4 Terms and Conditions 1. Two sets of operation and maintenance manuals along with all necessary drawings should be supplied along with the structural testing system. 2. The vendor should enclose all the relevant technical documents and catalogues for all the components included in the proposal. Proposals without proper technical documents and catalogues will be rejected. 3. The vendor should impart training to the user viz. faculty, staff, student and any other personnel nominated by the department of civil engineering. 4. The parties may visit the Heavy Structures Laboratory of Civil Engineering Department to understand the test set-up (length of hoses, cables, additional fixtures for mounting of actuators and load cells, etc.) 5. Necessary consumables like connecting cables, power pack oil, hoses, etc. will be in the vendor s scope. 6. Additional equipment like Cooling tower, UPS, Suitable PC with compatible operating system, etc. will be in the vendor s scope. 7. IIT may provide the following: a. Electrical power required for the installation of structural testing system. b. An enclosure to cooling tower. c. Extend the workshop facility (without man power), if required for mechanical works like cutting, welding, drilling, etc. during the installation and

commissioning of structural testing system.
