Press the SERVO BUTTON again. 8 Note: Press RESET button if there is any alarm/error. 6 Now, you can start using this CNC Milling machine. 9 MOVING THE AXIS MANUALLY 1 First, press HANDLE MULTIPLY button (X 1, X 10, X 100, or X 1000), then press the button. 10 2 Press the one of the HANDLE AXIS you want to move. Note: If you want to move X-Axis, press the X Button. 11 Page 3 of 12

3 Turn the handle. Note: Clockwise for positive increment and Anti Clockwise for negative increment. 12 USING MDI OPTION 1 Press MDI button at MODE SELECT button. 13 2 Then press PROG button (if necessary), at PROGRAM PANEL BUTTON and the screen as shown below will appear. 15 14 3 Then key in the command. Example (refer figure 16): To turn on the spindle, key in M03 S1000; To change the cutter, key in M06 T07; 16 4 Press CYCLE START button. 17 Page 4 of 12

KEY IN PART PROGRAMMING MANUALLY 1 Press EDIT button at MODE SELECT button. 18 2 Then press PROG button (if necessary), at PROGRAM PANEL button. 3 Press DIR at SOFTKEY button Check a program name that has not been used yet. 19 4 Key in a new program name, example O8005, press INSERT ** All the program name need to start with letter O. 5 Key in the part program using PROGRAM PANEL BUTTON. EOB means End of Block and the symbol of ; represent the EOB. CAN has the same function with BACKSPACE button at computer keyboard. SHIFT also has the same function with SHIFT button at computer keyboard. ALTER is used if you want to make an alteration, by moving the up and down and left and right cursor. DELETE is used if you want to delete, by moving the up and down and left and right cursor also. INSERT has the same function with ENTER button at computer keyboard. 20 Example: ;G40 ; Press,,,, and. Important!!! Make sure to put point at each coordinate number. 21 Page 5 of 12

UPLOAD PROGRAMMING FROM SERVER 1 At Mode Select, push the Edit Button 22 2 Push the Program button [PROG] and press [+] at the screen button 23 3 Push the [oprt] than [+] than [read] and finally [exec] button. 4 Open the CIMCO DNC software at the CNC Server Computer 5 Change the Communication Port to COM3 6 Click the Send button and select the NC file SIMULATION 1 Important!!! After finish key in the program, it is advisable to run the simulation first, before running the actual machining. Press GRAPH button until the screen appear (refer 30). Press twice if necessary. 22 2 Press AUTO at MODE SELECT. 23 3 Press SIMLAT at the SOFT KEY button, then press TLPATH and START. 24 4 If the part program run by the simulation has any error, made the correction until there is no errors Page 6 of 12

appear. SETTING TING UP AN ORIGIN TO THE WORKPIECE (COORDINATE SETTING) 1 Press PROG button at PROGRAM PANEL BUTTON. (Press twice if necessary) 2 Before setting the origin, you need to clamp your workpiece at the machine. Turn on the spindle manually using Manual Data Input (MDI) Refer page USING MDI OPTION 25 3 Then touch the rotating spindle to the workpiece, and set either X, Y or Z origin. X-Origin Y-Origin Z-Origin 26 4 How to set the origin at the machine? Press POS button at PROGRAM PANEL BUTTON, and REL at SOFT KEY button Press X, Y or Z at the PROGRAM PANEL BUTTON. Then Press Origin (refer figure 32) at the SOFT KEY button 27 Page 7 of 12

5 Press OFFSET SETTING button at PROGRAM PANEL BUTTON. Press WORK at SOFT KEY button (if necessary) Press ALL at SOFT KEY button if necessary (to show all the coordinate) Key in X and Y value of the machine coordinates to WORK COORDINATES ATES column and press INPUT. Press RESET and the Absolute coordinates will show X: 0.0 Y: 0.0. 28 Important!! If you state G54 as the work coordinate in your program, so key in the machine point at the G54 column. 29 6 [Make sure the Relative coordinate is showed the X0.0, Y0.0 and Z0.0, then you can take the Machine coordinate and put into the WORK COORDINATE column] Press OFFSET SETTING button at PROGRAM PANEL BUTTON. Key in Z-value of the machine coordinates to length (geometry) column and press INPUT. Key in the radius of cutter at radius (geometry) column and press INPUT. ** (The number of column is regarding to your tool number.) Important!! [The radius of cutter is important when you want to use cutter compensation command, G41 or G42.] 30 RUNNING NING THE PART PROGRAM 1 If the part program from the simulation runs smoothly, now you can start the real machining. (Important: Make sure you have done the coordinate setting properly.) Press PROG (if necessary), then press AUTO at MODE SELECT and press RESET button. Page 8 of 12

31 32 Turn the FEED OVERIDE to ZERO%. Press CYCLE START. Turn the FEED OVERIDE slowly first until you confirm the program will run safely before turn to 100% movement of the feed. Page 9 of 12
