Computer Applications with Keyboarding Month Content Skills January INTRODUCTION TO CLASS Lab rules, procedures and course overview Review of touch-typing, proper technique, and what home row fingers strike the letters on the keyboard. What is proper vocabulary for computer software and computer hardware? Demonstrate proper keystroking and proper technique Demonstrate touch typing method for all letters Identify vocabulary to include MS Word screen and toolbars Demonstrate efficient use of MS Word using the toolbar features, shortcuts buttons, and create files in student directory What are the top row numbers and all symbols? Demonstrate proper striking of the numbers and symbols Identify which home row finger strikes each number or symbol How fast and accurate are you typing? Practice improvement in accuracy and speed Identify which home row finger strikes each key, numbers, symbols What are the rules of spacing and punctuation? What is the keypad?
