Introduction to Pogo> This document provides detailed information on how best to use the Pogo> application to benefit your business. The intention is to convey all the necessary information about Pogo> to get you up and running and accepting credit and debit card payments. Please take the time to read this carefully to ensure that you maximise the benefits and potential of Pogo>. Downloading & Installing the Pogo> App Once you have registered as a Pogo> Merchant, you can download the Pogo> App from the Google Play To start the Pogo> App, press the Pogo> App icon The Pogo> splash screen will be displayed Activation & First Sign In to the Pogo> App Search for Pogo app in the Android application menu, click on the app, and enter your user and password and click «Σύνδεση» ( Sign in ). If you have forgotten your password select the «Ξεχάσατε τον κωδικό πρόσβασης» ( Forgot Password ) option from the log screen and call the number presented on the screen. To start the Pogo> App, press the Pogo> App icon The Pogo> splash screen will be displayed Enter your username and password Page 4
Navigating the Pogo> App Main Menu The Main Menu Screen allows you access all of the option of the Pogo> application. Press any button to select that particular menu. The button «Ιστορικό» ( History ) will display all transactions that you have completed. You will be able to see the details of each transaction including the items sold, the date, the amount and the location where the transaction was completed Pressing the button «Πώληση» ( Sale ) allows you to add items and quantities to the basket and connect to the card reader to take payments The button «Προϊόντα» ( Catalogue ) is used to add, delete and edit your catalogue of available products. You can create categories of products, add pictures of products and amend pricing Tap the button «Επιστροφή χρημάτων» ( Refund ) to search the list of all transactions for a specific sale. You can then action a partial or full refund The button «Βοήθεια» ( Help ) lists Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) The button «Ρυθμίσεις» ( Settings ) allow you to configure a range of User selectable features as well as providing information on the App Once you have selected a menu, you can return to the previous menu by simply tapping the Pogo> Icon located at the left-hand side of the navigation bar at the top of each menu screen. Card Reader Setup Turning on the Card Reader To switch on your card reader make sure that the card reader has been fully charged. You will find the power On/Off button located on the left-hand side of the card reader (it s the small black button set into the case) The reader will go to sleep when not in use to preserve battery and can be woken by pressing the button with the green tick located on the righthand side of the keypad Pairing Devices For first time use, you will need to connect the card reader to the Pogo> App (called Pairing) using Bluetooth. The initial connection is done by: You will only need to do this once as the card reader and your phone/tablet will remember the connection. 1 To connect your handset and/or tablet via Bluetooth to the card reader, turn on the card reader and wait for the Bluetooth symbol to start flashing. Select the card reader name and pair from the list of local devices on your handset. Then press the green tick on your card reader to complete the process. 2 All done - you re now ready to start taking card payments! 3 When you transact for the first time, your mobile device and card reader will automatically synchronise by remote key injection ( απομακρυσμένης αυτόματης εισαγωγής κλειδιού ) to secure connections from your card reader to the payment networks. When taking a payment from the Sale Screen, the Pogo> App will restart this connection each time it is needed. We recommend before first payments with users merchants perform some test transactions and refunds so remote key injection is performed and merchants get used to the payment steps involved in Pogo>. What happens on the first transaction? On the first transaction, Pogo> application will detect that there are missing files on the PED to support Greek characters, and also the Remote Key Injection has not been performed. The following are the steps that need to happen in order for the PED to be updated with the correct files, and the Remote Key Injection to happen. Step 1: Step 2: Warning message stating update is Checking version and updating PED required The merchant will be advised that an update is required, and that this update will start when the merchant clicks on OK Step 3: Step 4: Perform Remote Key Injection The PED is being checked and files to update the configuration to support the Greek language are being transferred automatically to the PED Confirmation that RKI process finished and keys have been updated The process of Remote Key Injection is performed, enabling the generation of security keys that can be used to transfer transactions in a secure manner to IPG The Remote Key Injection finishes and the merchant is presented with the message to confirm keys have been updated Page 7
Catalogue Screen Adding Products to the Catalogue The Pogo> application enables you to store information about your products within the catalogue such as: description, price, photos and the product barcode. Select «Προϊόντα»(Catalogue) Select the symbol + to create a new item in the catalogue Select the green box to take a picture of the item you want to add in your catalogue Sale Screen Adding Items to the Basket You can click and search for the name of the particular product in your catalogue in the sale screen by clicking on «Προσθήκη» ( Add item ) and selecting the item you want to add. One-off Transaction An one-off transaction applies for a product that is not currently in your catalogue. You can access one-time payment on the upper right hand of the sale screen (press symbol «+»), enter the product description and price, and accept the payment from the customer. Adding Items to the Basket with the Scanner Pogo> will ask the user to add this item to the catalogue before adding it to the basket if the item is not in the basket previous to scan. To add a product to the basket using the scan function simply press the «Σάρωση» ( Scan Item ) button and the barcode scanner will be activated Page 9
Take a Payment Once you have built the basket select the button «Επόμενο» ( Next )the Pogo> App will automatically connect to the Card Reader If the card reader has been powered-off, please use the On/Off button located on the side of the card reader to turn-it on If the card reader is in sleep mode, simply push the green tick button on the card reader to wake the reader up ready for payment. Hand the card reader to the customer. The card reader will prompt the customer to insert their card and be prompted to enter their PIN code The Pogo> App will track the processing steps; you can cancel the payment at any time by pressing the «Ακύρωση Πληρωμής» button ( Cancel Payment ) Page 10
Swipe & Signature If a card cannot be read, the cardholder will be prompted to remove and re-insert their card. Should the card fail to read x3 times, the Pogo> App will ask you to swipe the cardholders card in the swipe reader located at the top of the card reader*. *Swipe reader Swipe the card through the swipe reader at the top of the Pogo> card reader The signature screen will appear on your mobile device and the Pogo> App will prompt you to hand the mobile device to the card holder. Advise the customer to sign using their finger and click «Αποθήκευση» ( Save )to proceed Page 11
Receipts Once the payment is accepted, you will be asked to press «OK». A message to take off the card wil then be displayed Add the email of the customer and click Ναι («Yes») Confirmation that the mail has been sent. Please select «OK» If the customer doesn t want a receipt click «Δόθηκε έντυπη απόδειξη» (A printed receipt has been provided) and select «Όχι» ( No ). If a customer requests a receipt after payment you can also provide this by going into «Ιστορικό» ( History ) menu, searching for the specific transaction and going to the option «Στοιχεία» ( Details ), and input the email of the customer. Remote Key Injection During a payment, checks are run for valid security keys within the card reader. In the unlikely event of problems with this process, you will see the following message. The following process is automatic and you will only be prompted to select OK to proceed. If the encryption keys are not loaded this message will be displayed. Select OK to proceed and the card reader will automatically retrieve the keys Once the keys have been retrieved select OK and you will be taken back to the payment processing screen Page 13
History: Transaction History All transactions are stored within the Pogo> App and can be reviewed by selecting the button «Ιστορικό» ( History ) on the Main Menu Screen. Select the button «Ιστορικό» ( History ) on the Main menu screen All transactions will be listed here. To search for a specific customer transaction, simply enter the last four digits of their card Once you have selected a specific transaction, you can view detailed information about the transaction by selecting one of the options at the top of the screen By selecting the «ΕΙΔΗ» ( ITEMS ) option, a list detailing each item in that specific transaction is listed The Pogo> App uses Geo-tagging which shows the location where the transaction took place You can resend the receipt to the merchant through «ΕΠΙΛΟΓΕΣ» ( Options ) option in the history screen Page 14
Refund Screen Issue Refund - Card Present A specific card can be found by swiping the card magnet stripe in the card reader. This will search for the transactions associated to that card. *Swipe reader Swipe the customers card used for the purchase through the Pogo> card reader All transactions processed via that card will then be displayed on the Pogo> App In order to perform a refund, tap on the specific transaction. The transaction details will be displayed By selecting «ΕΙΔΗ» ( ITEMS ) you can perform a partial or a full refund. Page 15
Settings Screen Application Settings To access the Ρυθμίσεις Εφαρμογών (Application Settings) Menu, please select the button «Ρυθμίσεις» ( Settings ) on the Main Menu screen and scroll down to Application Settings section. Information in the application settings are non-configurable and used for support services you may be asked to provide these details when you contact the customer support center. Page 16
Device Settings To access the «Ρυθμίσεις Συσκευής» ( Device Settings ) Menu, please select the button «Ρυθμίσεις» ( Settings ) on the Main Menu screen and scroll down to Device Settings. Select the button «Ρυθμίσεις» ( Settings ) on the Main Menu screen If you are requested to update the software of the card reader, please click «Αναβάθμιση λογισμικού» ( Update software ) If you are requested to update the keys, please click «Ενημέρωση κλειδιών» ( Update keys ). Please don t update the keys,unless you are advised by a customer service representative Please click «Αρχείο Καρταναγνώστη» ( Card reader log ) to send the file to the Payment Gateway Page 17
Help Screen To access the Help Menu, select the button Help on the Main Menu screen. Tap on the «Βοήθεια» button ( Help ) to access a range of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Transaction Synchronization If you change your device or delete the Pogo> app from your phone, in order to get your transaction history back, you will need to perform a transaction synchronization. The transaction synchronization will bring back all past transactions made with Pogo>, both in the History and Refund screens. Transaction synchronization will be seamlessly performed for you if you are using Wifi as the default connection when accessing the application. If you are on 3G connection, transaction synch will need to be manually performed through the «Ρυθμίσεις» ( Settings ) menu. NOTE: If you are installing the app on a new device, you will need to do a certificate reset. WIFI connection If you are on Wi-Fi when installing the app, all transactions will be seamlessly be updated on your Pogo> application. Two notifications will be displayed while the process is taking place: Once all transactions are downloaded, a message stating transactions have been synchronized successfully will be presented - «Ο συγχρονισμός ολοκληρώθηκε επιτυχώς» Page 19
Mobile data connection If you are on Wifi when installing the app, the transactions will not synchronize automatically, and you will need to manually activate the synchronization of the transactions. This is done so that you can decide to make usage of your data to perform the mentioned process. In order to synchronize transactions, you will need to go to «Ρυθμίσεις» ( Settings ), and accept to continue with the process using your data connection.
