4. Basic customise settings on your Nikon DSLR 4.1. Playback Menu The playback menu is where you manage the images stored in you flash card. The playback menu is also where you control how the images are displayed and what image information is displayed during review. There are several options available from the Playback menu, and good, if you can explore them. 4.2. Shooting Menu 4.1.1 Image review This option allows you to choose whether the image is shown on the LCD immediately after the image is taken. When this option is turned off (default), the image can be viewed only be pressing the Playback button. 4.1.2 Rotate tall If this option is turn on, it rotates images that are shot in portrait orientation to be displayed upright on the LCD screen. 4.1.3 File naming This menu option allows you to customise the filename by replacing the DSC prefix with any letters of your choice. AF-S 7.1 Single servo AF (AF-S) The single shot AF mode is most likely use for the majority of pictures you take. In this mode, once the autofocus locks on to the subject, it does not shift its focus point, even the subject distance changes.
