Mobile Handsets and Devices To view the range of mobile devices available to University staff and to place an order, visit the Computing Services self-service portal at servicedesk.liverpool.ac.uk. In the Request section, select Make a Request then choose University staff mobiles. Tariff details are available in this document. The latest version of this document is available on the Computing Services self-service portal, alongside the list of available devices - servicedesk.liverpool.ac.uk Prices are correct at time of publication but are subject to change. All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. Devices are covered by a 12-month warranty for faults. Accidental damage is NOT covered. If you are upgrading an existing University mobile you must return your current handset before taking ownership of your new device. Your old device can then be securely wiped before being disposed of or re-used, in line with the University Information Security Policy. Please make sure you have backed up any information from your old phone (e.g. photos) before returning it to CSD. Data Tariffs Data in the UK - Data Sharer Scheme The University pays for a pool of data that is shared across all University mobile users. The data plan supports 2G, 3G and 4G data use in the UK. The current cost to access the data pool is 7 per month. It is expected that 5 GB of UK mobile data per month will be sufficient for the majority of staff. Usage over this level will trigger a review by CSD to check for appropriate usage and configuration settings on the device. Excessive usage will result in the mobile data service being ceased without warning. Consistently high data usage may incur additional charges billed to the department. We strongly recommend installing the app My Data Manager to help track and issue alerts for your monthly data usage.
