(AOB) Multi-function Protection Device Local and remote trip indication AO-B type OCs are available with trip indications. Two types of trip indication function are available: single contact type and individual contact and LED type. Single contact type This is a voltage-free contact which closes for 0ms and then resets when the ACB is tripped by any one of the LTD, STD, INST/MC or GFT functions. Output is on terminals and. Individual contact and LED type This type has an individual contact and LED for LTD, STD and INST/MC., and GFT overcurrent functions. The PE-TIP function is incorporated on OCs with these type of indicators and a corresponding contact and LED are fitted. Additionally a SYSTEM ALAM contact and LED are provided to give warning of abnormality in the OC unit. A separate control supply is required for these indicators. The contact for PE-TIP resets when the current level drops below pick-up setting *:The contacts remain until the ESET button on the front of the OC is operated. (emote resetting can be achieved by disconnection of the control supply) STD and INST/MC is common terminal. (B) LEDs LEDs (except for PE-TIP) remain until the ESET button is operated or the control supply is disconnected. LED for PE-TIP goes out when the current level drops below pick-up setting. UPS Backup power supply This unit provides a constant supply for the display indicators (LEDs & volt free contacts) in the event of a power failure for up to hour. It contains rechargeable batteries which will be maintained at full charge through the AC supply voltage. Spec Unit Unit Input voltage 0 ~ 0V AC 0 ~ 0V Output V DC V DC Outline dimensions on page. The option of a manual MHT reset button is available upon request. This button protrudes through the ACB label and must be depressed following an overcurrent trip in order to close the ACB.

(AOB) Multi-function Protection Device OC specifications The multi-function protection device for ACBs is an -bit microprocessor controlled, r.m.s. sensing overcurrent relay (OC). The OC range is divided into three groups: AO-BL (standard inverse characteristic) AO-BM (very/extremely inverse characteristic) AO-BS (generator protection). ACB - Electrical Tripping Devices Undervoltage trip (UVT) The undervoltage trip (UVT) automatically trips the ACB when the control power voltage drops below a pre-determined value. When the control voltage is restored to a value equal to or greater than the pick-up value, the ACB can be closed. The UVT consists of a trip control device and a tripping mechanism. Two types of UVT are available: AUT-BS (instantaneous trip type: AC and DC control voltages available) and AUT-BD (00ms or sec time delay type. The DC versions of the AUT-BS require an external current limiting resistor to be used (supplied with the ACB). emote opening of the circuit breaker by the UVT is possible by connection of a normally open push button across terminals and.
