The Certification Practicum is an intense and highly condensed learning exercise, akin to a graduate-level healthcare financial management class, but with a more practical, real-life orientation. It focuses on what healthcare financial managers do every day at work: analyze financial information, create budgets, analyze performance and profitability, measure key indicators, design and improve revenue processes, comply with laws and regulations, complete cost reports and 990 forms, report quality metrics, and adjust staffing levels. The board of directors of the Greater St. Louis Chapter has approved this education course to assist you in passing the HFMA certification exam. This course is offered free of charge to Greater St. Louis HFMA members. The course will be taught by Christoph Stauder who teaches the certification course at ANI for National HFMA. The course will be offered as five webinars on Thursdays from February 12 - March 12, 2015. A comprehensive study guide will be provided approximately 1 week prior to the course. Approximately 20-40 hours of concentrated study time is recommended (this may vary by individual). Each attendee will be asked to sign a commitment to sit for the certification exam prior to April 30, 2015. Course Cost This course is offered FREE to Greater St. Louis HFMA Chapter members. Course time commitment is 9 hours. Study time is 20 to 40 hours post or pre course. You must commit to sit for the exam by April 30, 2015.
