What is the total geographic area covered by the system? How many channels are there per cell? And what is the total number of concurrent calls that can be handled by the system? If capacity must be increased in, what are the approaches available? With suitable diagram(s), explain horizontal and vertical handovers. Describe with the aid of a diagram, what is a High Altitude Platform (HAP) system? (20/100) 4. Answer the following questions on IPv4: A fragmented datagram has arrived with the following information in the header (in hexadecimal): 0x4500 03B6 0001 2048 1011 0000 0E17 7808 B40E 0F02 What is the fragmentation offset value? What is the size of the data and are there any options? How many more routes can the packet travel? An organization is given an IP address block of 130.34.12.128/27. The organization have 6 different subnets. (iv) What are the numbers of subnet bits and host bits? What are the subnet addresses and range of addresses for each subnet? What is the new subnet mask value? If the number of subnets is reduced to 4, how many hosts per subnet are available? (17/100) 5. Answer the following questions on IPv6 and QoX: Given a host with the MAC address of 39-A7-94-07-CB-D0. Show the IPv6 sitelocal address of this host using EUI-64 interface identifier. What is Quality of Experience (QoE) and what are the factors influencing it?...4/-

What type of mobility is associated with the action above? (12/100) 7. Answer the following questions on transport layer: Explain what congestion control is and why congestion occurs? In a connection, a host has sent TCP bytes from 80 to 91 that are not acknowledged. The current value of the congestion window is 20 and receiver window is 30. Explain with the aid of a suitable diagram, how many more bytes the host can send without concerns for acknowledgments? What is the maximum buffer size of the receiver if it has already received 20 bytes of data, unprocessed? (15/100)...5/-
