Filtering Email - Zimbra Email filtering allows you to definite rules to manage incoming email. For instance, you may apply a filter on incoming email to route particular emails into folders or delete emails from specific senders. The following explains how to filter email in Zimbra. 1. To begin, click Preferences, located on the main Zimbra toolbar. 2. Click Filters, located under the Preferences tab. Figure 1 - Preferences 3. In the Mail Filters window, click Create Filter. 4. Enter a descriptive filter name in the Filter Name field. 5. Verify that the Active checkbox is checked. Figure 4 - Filter Name Figure 5 - Active Checkbox 6. In the Grouping Preference drop-down, indicate whether you wish to apply the filter if any of the conditions or all of the conditions are met. Figure 6 Grouping Preference dropdown 7. To select your preferred field in which the condition will be applied, use the Condition drop-down. 8. Use the Comparisons drop-down to select the comparison to use in the condition. For example, you may indicate comparisons such as if a field matches exactly, does not contain, among others.
